      Turbo (sweet short-film)

A friend just sent me a link. It's a short film called Turbo and was created by a group of college kids. Very entertaining watch.

      That was honestly pretty good
The acting was obviously on-par for any indie film, but the effects were pro-level. Great sci-fi theme.

Worth watching if not only for the CGI.

Well I was impressed by the relatively high production values for a college film. But other than that, I found it to be incredibly unoriginal. Kid loses to bully. Kid trains with mentor. Kid beats bully.

Bad acting, worse concept. Very uninspired.

EDIT: I realize that with an indie film like this, there's isn't going to be any high-caliber acting, but I would appreciate it if the actors at least put some emotion behind their lines.

I was entertained. Excels as a short film.
If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama
