A lot of crap has happened. I'm going to restart this journal thingy, and try harder to develop dream recall.

I tried someone's method of being more likely to attain lucidity. I also set my alarm clock at 1, so I would wake up and then nod off again. This usually conduces to dreaming for me.

I slept right through my alarm, and recalled none of my dreams. Oh, well, better luck tonight...

      YES! I remembered a dream!

Okay, so the dream began in school. Somehow, we were alerted that a meteor was gonna crash nearby. It was gonna crash at this elementary school nearby, so all of the kids evacuated the scool. We just ran the hell away. I think it crashed, because I'm sure I felt shock waves. It was getting dark, and three girls and I were running through hilly land scapes reminicent of Corsica. Later i heard on the news that the school had been obliterated, but nearby areas hadn't, and that had surprised me.

I think the dream was in part inspired by the blizzard warnings we were hearing last night.

Yeah, it's not much, but it's a big step in dream recall for me.

Don't remember this dream very well... only remember going to blockbuster with my Dad to rent a movie. I remember going through some line with a cashier and all like you'd find at a grocery store. Judging by the cover, I think we rented some hybrid of Team America and Magnificent Men and their Flying Machines (two very awesome movies.).

Since I watched the latter above mentioned film last night, I s'pose the dream was in part inspired by that.

I only remember the last part of this dream. I was in my room digging through the closet. I remember it being darkish, like very early morningtime. I stumbled upon a packet of papers stapled together. On the from was a black and white photo of me. I was smiling, and my eyes were... creepy. They were very wide open. I looked psychotic. I turned to another paper, and on it was written essay of sorts. The first words I read were "I kinda like the way I am." I knew that I wrote this in fifth grade.

I guess I was feeling nostalgic through that dream.

Slowly developed dream recall over Christmas break... kinda losing it again.

I almost had a lucid dream one morning, though. A lot happened, but in the end I came into my house through the back and on the dining room table 3 cats. They were all based off of one of my cats in real life. There were 3 of them. They all had bright orange eyes. At first I was just admiring their eyes, but then I realized that there was three of my one cat. I thought I must be dreaming, and walked into the living room, when my grandpa walked into the room and woke me up.

Been having a hard time developing recall, due to stress in real life.

      common dreamsign

Hi Leelu. I'm very new, so I am interested to learn how to distinguish dreamsigns. I've started a journal too but I don't have much experience yet. One thing I took particular notice too was that some have your dreams have common incidents in which one's eyes are very strange. Perhaps this could be one thing that if you notice again you'd be able to identily you are dreaming and then become lucid. Good luck

That does seem to be recurring in my dreams. Welcome to the forum! Hope you learn a lot from this place.

Speaking of lucidity, my last lucid dream occured a week ago. I was in this concrete room with a dead looking swimming pool. My cousins were sitting behind me. Out of the blue I realised I was dreaming. I turned around and told them this. They just said "cool" and shook it off. I looked at the pool and lifted my arm up and out. The pool grew longer. I stretched and melded it out. The water became darker blue. I was going to dive in, but someone distracted me and I lost lucidity.
