Here's me, finally starting a dream journal. I didn't dream last night, or the night before, but I remembered a dream I had three nights ago in much better detail than when I had remembered it the first time.
The first part of this wasn't lucid:
I was eating dinner with some people (rarely do I have real-life people in my dreams), and I was distraught because I didn't have salt. I needed salt, almost as much as slug DOESN'T need salt. I'd like to say that I calmly asked for it, but actually I got mad and threw a plate, walked across the room and out the wall, where I proceeded to march down the stairs and into the waiting ocean. A man with a blue and yellow striped shirt was trying to write on the waves.
Lucid:
I didn't much like the guy in the ocean, so I asked him for a notebook, which he gave me. I then proceeded to write this:
Make war to me, my love,
With that heightened sense of feeling;
Putting fire in our eyes
Nothing stops the beating
If they cannot recognize
Just what it is we’re willing
To really sacrifice
It takes two men for playing
When it’s time to roll the dice.
And then as I was finishing the sentence with the salt-ink, I woke up, and actually remembered the words, and finished the poem like this:
Give love to me, my war,
Under opened canopies with
Bodies and hearts all on display
Your fight becomes my kiss
And I will not come home today.
Make war to me, my love,
The fantasy escaping
From a dream-drugged, lurid mind
Restlessly, I’m loving
A fight of a different kind.
So that was definitely one of my better lucids. Writing while dreaming = win.

Thanks; I love my avatar too.
That's an awesome dream.
But, if you don't have people in your dreams often, who do you have instead? o.o

Random DCs. Bad guys. Men in capes and boots. Red-headed women with knives ('cept I killed her). Just not people I know in real life, usually.
My adoptee has her own dream journal. I'm so proud![]()

Hmm, actually, it seems more like lyrics than a poem to me. I can even picture the music in my mind somewhat. o.o
That adds another point to my list of things to do in lucid dreams, hahah. Write poetry! Or, hm, maybe lyrics and then perform them there too, being able to play the guitar flawlessly while I have no idea how to do it in waking life. >.>

What kind of music do you play, Merlock? If it's metal, gothic metal, power metal, thrash metal, or any OTHER kind of metal, I wanna hear how it sounds.
NeAvO: \o/
Necco: Thanks. I sorta liked it too.
Hahah, no, like I said at the end of my post, I don't play. No idea how to play a guitar, or anything else. So...lucid dreams to the rescue! >.>
But I do listen to fantasy metal and the like.

I really should read the posts better.
That's a strange dream

I just now remembered a dream I had last night.
I was at Barnes and Noble, looking through the journals and notebooks (again, with the notebooks. They are, though, one of my favorite things), wishing I could have one but knowing that they were way out of my budget. Kinda like real life. Someone walked beside me and was looking at them too, but I really didn't pay much attention to them. I would like to note that even though this was a lucid dream, I didn't feel like I should just make myself have lots of money or just walk out with the journal. It didn't even occur to me.
So anyway, I'm still looking through the journals and other books - by this time the guy who was next to me had already left - and decided finally that I should leave. A cashier stops me as I'm walking out the door, and hands me one of the journals I had been looking at.
"He asked me to give you this," the cashier told me, pointing out the door at the retreating form of the guy who had been in the store with me earlier. I opened the journal, and it said something inside of it, but I don't actually know that I read it.
I do know that whatever I saw when I opened it made me realize that it was someone I knew (though I don't in real life), and ran out the door after him. It was raining, and the bridge he was on crossed a canal. For some reason I couldn't remember his name, so I just shouted, and he turned to look at me, and then jumped off the bridge.
The journal turned into ash, all but the page I had left it open to - the one he had written in, but the rain smudged the ink. And the last thing I remember is thinking "water water everywhere, but not a drop to drink."
You have some awesome dreams
I'll be reading this![]()

Thanks, IMOW.
I went to bed incredibly late last night, and woke up incredibly early considering (4:30 - 8 isn't enough sleep for me). And DV chat has infiltrated my brain, too.
No lucidity: I was dreaming that we (the Night Group - man we need to come up with a more awesome name than that) were all in chat, quite literally. Blue floor, blue walls, and we were all standing/sitting/floating there throwing different strings of words in the middle. We were colo(u)red our text colo(u)r. At a point when shark! (who is not a usual Night Group member) said that I type "like a men," - which he actually did say last night - BiVixen stood up and shouted "Amen!"
It struck everyone as hilariously funny, and most of us melted into the floor from laughing so hard. The last dream-image was of BiVixen's white text lying on the ground, alone.. "Amen!"

I second IMOW. That last dream sounds especially awesome. Also, I vote for the Night Watch.
Oh, and yesterday's dream? That was incredibly cool. I need more dreams like that. This has made me want to go update my own dream journal.
