18.10.2009Amadeus and the strange thing (Non-lucid)
NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID
I don't remember the first part of the dream. It was one of those where I am semi-lucid, and I just play along to see what happens.
Someone told me, "and you are going to be Amadeus." This person handed me a stack of papers, like a script.
I was somewhere in Europe in the 1800's. I was wearing silly frilly clothes, pastel yellow and white. I had on tights, and bows on my shoes, and was wearing a wig with curls and powder in it. I was with some people on a pathway near a small rock wall covered in lichen in front of an old two story Victorian house. There were about two or three young men, and two or three young women with me.
One of the women was sitting on the wall reading from a book. I wandered off and grabbed at a loose rock in the wall. I pulled it out with some effort and dropped it on the ground.
"Hey," one of the women scolded, "Amadeus, what are you doing?"
"I am curious. I wanted to see what was under the rock."
"And what did you find?"
"Nothing," I said, sighing dramatically.
"Well, there you go. Now, put the rock back in the wall, and come and join us. Quit misbehaving yourself, and act like a gentleman."
The woman with the book began reading again.
"Ugh. A gentleman?" I rolled my eyes. "Gentlemen are so boring! I'd much rather be a sprite in the forest."
The woman stopped reading, and looked at me annoyed. The same woman as before said, "Stop being silly. Such things don't exist."
"Then why are you reading about them?" I teased.
"Oh, you're incorrigible!" she exclaimed.
I raised my eyebrows and bit my lip as I boldly looked her up and down lasciviously.
She looked at me, and smiled a little smile. I grinned at her, and giggled.
"Oh!" she exclaimed, and blushed. She opened a lacy fan and fanned herself. "It's dreadfully warm today," she said quietly. "Read on, dear," she told the other woman. I kept watching her, and tried to stifle a laugh. She tried to hide a smile with her fan, and looked at my sideways without turning her head.
I turned away, and looked at another wall that was perpendicular to the small one. This one was also made of rock, but it was taller and built without mortar.
"Hullo," I said. "What do we have here?"
I took off one rock, and dropped it on the ground. "Amadeus!" a voice scolded. "Put that back. What is your fascination with dismantling rock walls. I daresay-"
I stopped listening, and kept taking the wall down. "Amadeus, old chap, what ever are you- what is that? What have you uncovered?"
There was a some type of large shiny dark brown wooden object under the rocks. "Is that a coffin?" I asked. I was frightened, but my curiosity overcame my fear.
"Maybe we let that alone, brother," said a man's voice.
"No," I whispered. "Help me clear these rocks away."
We tossed the remaining rocks away from the object. It was a dresser. "A chest of drawers? Hidden in a rock wall? How very strange!" I said. "Daren't I open it?" I asked giddily.
Everyone was silent. I sat down in front of the drawer, and opened one of the drawers. In it was a small jewelry box.
I lifted it up. "What do we have here, Lucy? A portal to Narnia?" I said to the woman I was flirting with whose name was not Lucy. I opened the box, and there was a gold ring sitting on a cushion. "Hullo!" I whispered hoarsely.
I picked it up with thumb and forefinger and lifted it up. I had not expected to find anything like this. It frightened me for some inexplicable reason. The ring began to vibrate between my fingers. I gasped in wonder. I felt like it was about to leap out of my hand, as if it wanted to escape my grasp. The ring glowed for a second, then bright light burst forth from the ring, I covered my face with my other arm. GAAH!
The emotion of the moment woke me up.
