      chilly feeling when LDing

      hi everyone,

I am a natural LDer but I have been trying to improve things mostly my dream recollection.

I have noticed that every time I LD I have a chilly feeling on the whole length of my spine for the whole length of my lucid experience. It feels like the hair on my back are raised and also like the inside of my spine is trying to come out of my body (no pain though).

I am wondering if everyone/someone feels this too. This is my most prominent "dream feeling" so I have completely associated this with LD.

      any thoughts?

I have absolutely never heard of it. But I will look around and get back to you.

I have never heard of this, but you could pull you spine out if it bothers you.

despite the fact you say you are a natural Lder, i think its lack of control.

pfft I am a natural LDer (I've had more LDs before I started learning and trying than after) but unfortunately I am not very skilled at it.

what do you mean by lack of control? losing lucidity? Do you think I should learn more about how to stabilize myself in the dream and it may go away?

I think it is a feeling similar to terror but without fear...

I've never heard of this. Now that I read it, I bet I will feel something similar in my next lucid. The power of suggestion.

Put more covers on. If that doesn't work, set yourself on fire while in the dream.

Unless you have some type of underlying anxiety about lucid dreaming, there's really no reason you experience this.

well actually after I talked about this here, in my last LD last night I didnt have the feeling and everything was perfect. So I guess I just needed to confirm that it was not a "normal" dream feeling and I got over it

ps: its almost too hot to sleep here, I would never think to cover myself with anything (maybe a thin sheet against mosquitoes)
