    I could kiss you B6

i recently bought B6 vitamins and i had 3 Lucid dreams in a row , and as they progressed they got more vivid and they all started in the same place...my room and i flew out the window all three times. But before i went to bed i was at this family get together and had lots of wine and mixed drinks that made me pretty tired before i went to bed. Cause the next night i took B6 (200mg each time) and i didnt have any dreams which is odd cause i always remember my dreams, so im thinking the mixture of me being tired from the booze and the B6 was a perfect combination!

Do you think that a multi B vitamin would be as efficiant? How much B-6 of a dose do you take.

Any booze at all pretty much deletes my memory awake or asleep!

im not sure about a multi B vitiman, i took 200mg both nites...but i read that its not good to do that alot, it effects nerve endings but it would take alot to do that and studies showed that after stop taking it they recovered. I think just mixed with me being realy tired and taking the B6 made it easier to have lucids, it just happened that i was done from drinking, cause when the body is already relaxed and tired its eaier to seperate the mind from the body, i find. Cause the second night i wasnt tired at all and i took it and had no effects cause i only had a couple hours of sleep.

I just got some b6 as well. I'm starting with a 50mg dose. I think that's a really good starting place. We'll see what happens tonight. Luckily, i'm home, too, which is where i've had all of my lucid dreams.

I started using B6 last night, and have to say it made an interesting night, to say the least.

I don't think I was lucid, but was crossing over the line between the waking world and the dream world quite easily and often. I had the lightest sleep I have had in years. At times I wasn't sure whether I was awake or dreaming but a reality check with my watch proved it was the first.

The one I could find only had like 37mg of B6 and a bunch of other crap. I took it with 3mg of melatonin. I will continue to try this, for I was able to sense how it dramatically increased my awareness level. Hope I can come back with even better results...

I take a melatonin suppliment that contains B6 its sublingual which means you put the pill under your toungue and it disolves and the melatonin and b6 are absorbed much quicker, It makes falling alseep much faster for me and I get much more intense hypnagogic imagery.

    I got a bottle of 100 tablets, 50mg each for about $1.75 at Wal-Mart

The 100 of 100mg was like $5.00 so I didn't get that one

I might go pick some up since their so cheap.

Anyway, do you become dependant on the b6, like, if you take it enough you won't be able to LD without it, or will it help get to a point when you can gradually lower the dosage and still get the same LDs you got while you were taking it?

I don't know... i took 100 mg today, so we'll see if gradually INCREASING the dose leads to good dreamin' (although i have a very short sleep ahead of me ... only 5 hours until I'm up for the day!)

I haven't tried B6 long enough to tell you from experience, but I don't think it's habit forming unless you make it so. If you rely solely on B6 to achieve lucidity without working on your other methods then I think you'll be right were you started when you stop taking it...

    b6 first time did wonders

i took B6 for the first time last night and had my first proper lucid!
I think reading on this board defo helps too. Becuase ur brain is set-up to take on a lucid dream becuase of what u have read, the b6 just helps the dream along, and very well!

My grandad died 2 weeks ago, but he was in my dream last night, and he looked like his old healthy-self. In the dream i thought to myself i havent seen him look so healthly for ages. Then i thought wait a minute, my grandad has died,.. then it clicked "IM DREAMING", so i went over to him and said i love u grandad (which ive never said to him in real life- u know male's dont show their emotion) , and i said to him this is a dream isnt it and he just smiled. it was very nice...

i the honestly wondered what to do next, i remember reading on here about flying, then i tried to fly, i told everyone in the room that i was going to fly, just after i said that i felt a bit silly, i tried to fly but cudnt, so i went outside in the garden but still cudnt.. i then thought lets go and find a girl! but i didnt know how to! then i think the dream ended.

i had other dreams that night but i dont rememebtr them, i shud have wrote them down this morning!

[ THIS IS WHAT I DID BEFORE SLEEPING ]

bought B6 for the first time! took one in the evenin, then played football/soccer which involved alot of running! got home had shower, and took 100Mg B6 and 100mg B3, i take b3 anyway, so i dont know what relevance it has, then fell sleep.

That seems like a great experience...you couldn't fly, but at least you made the best of your time there, and it is very neat how you were able to tell your grandpa how you really felt...

Yeah we've got a heap of B6+Magnesium tablets, but there's only 50mg of B6 and 100mg of Magnesium, and I heard that too much magnesium is dangerous for you, so I've cut a heap of tablets in half, so there's less magnesium and I can take like four halves at a time. Damn magnesium.

    PLACEBO?

I'm curious if any thing you put in you mouth before sleep works more as a Placebo than really have effect.

I'm sorry to say that, cause if it really is it will now spoil your efforts.

But if I'm wrong, please proove me wrong and give me the nearest B6 dealer...

It's not a placebo effect. Vitamin B6. This nutrient is vital in helping to create neurotransmitters, the chemicals that allow brain cells to communicate with one another, so when you take a big dose of B6 all your neurotransmitters are pumping hard and expand, letting more informations flow through them, this is why the dreams become much more vivid and detailed. Can pick up B6 at any chemist. Only about $4 or $5 near me for a container of 50 MG tablets.

Just have them with half of glass of milk before bed, that way they take longer to digest so you get all the effects when you are dreaming in the later REM periods.
