personally I think its a coicidence
I just thought that I might share with you guys an interesting find that I have discovered reacently, people who tend to be uneducated about the ways of life, seem to be natural lucid dreamers. Tke a few people in my year at school.
Mike: This guy is one of the only genuinely nice guys who I have ever met, the only problem is, he is VERY niave, he thinks that evryone is his friend, he dosn't seem to realise that people are laughing at him, not with him. It must be a nice mind frame to be in, but it does seem to be a bit much when he is being beaten up, when he thinks it's play fighting. But throught all of this, he manages to be a natural lucid dreamer.
At first after hearing that 'He knew whenever he was dreaming' I though nothing of it, but then old Detective D in me came out and I had to ask a few people I know who are in the same blissfully ignorant mindframe as him, all of them turned out to be naturals.
I'm not sure if this is a coincidence, but it's interesting never the less.
personally I think its a coicidence
There's good and evil in each individual fire
identifies needs and feeds our desires
as long as we keep our spirit inspired
she can bite her bottom lip all she wants
Meh, I was thinking, chilldren have a lot of natural LD's, perhaps hier mind still being in a slightly child like state is helping? Or maybe I'm looking too far into this.
I know that a few people I hate to say, dumb. But? Anyway, I found the deeper the discussion goes that they were never actually lucid dreaming to begin with.
They were merley placing recalling there dreams as an act of LDing. The more you explain the more lost they became.
I still think ignorance is bliss though![]()
This is very interesting! What was your exact question to them, and how many have you asked so far?

I think some people feel that their ability to Lucid dream makes them smarter than average or special.

This is probably not the same as ignorance, but I think the volume of information in your memory affects your natural ability to LD. When the world was more primitive, the world was more mystical. People were much more affected by dreams, and other psychic & paranormal things, I think because they didn't have the distraction of every other thought in their head leading to a popular song, or a movie they'd seen, or a TV show, or a web site, etc. Their thoughts could get to deep & mystical places because the things that started them thinking about it didn't lead to them remembering a similar situation on Mr. Ed, or how a line in a Dead Kennedys song could mean sorta the same thing. I think modern folks have a harder time with mystical stuff by sheer volume of distractions.
That connection doesnt really surprise me much. I've noticed that the less distracted I am when I go to bed by thoughts about problems in my life, the better I dream. I'm using problems in the broad sense; I mean basically anything that can have thought put into it. And generally, the more "ignorant" somebody is, the less thought they put into various problems. Someone who goes through life content and unquestioning will probably dream better.
I've heard that our restraint in dreams varies inversely with our restraint in real life. Thus, more restraint in one, less in the other. Perhaps how interesting each is has a similar relation?
Well life is short, so love the one ya' got, 'cause you might get run over or you might get shot.

Strictly by my experience, I would have to disagree. In non-lucid dreams, I watch myself consistently behave with the same discretion I do when awake.I've heard that our restraint in dreams varies inversely with our restraint in real life.[/b]
It's less than exciting.![]()
