noob pov: realise your head isnt where it should be and expect it to keep going and see what happens...
Hey
I just had my very first experiance of a WILD! You can read about the whole night in my Dream Journal, but here is the gist of it
So I was wondering if anyone had any advice to go from here? The technique seems to work for me, the difficulty in stopping from being excited about it. Would this be a common occurance for a first time WILD'er? (and only ever had one, possibly two LD's (Knowing I was dreaming, but no control), and even they were over a year ago)I try to do another Wild, lying on my side, just concentrating half on my breathing, half on being aware of where my body is. I keep this up for a few minutes, and my head slowly slides THROUGH the pillow, its only half way through before I realise "holy shit, i'm going to have a WILD!" but this of course made me excited, and brought be back to waking. I made a few attempts to go back to the same state, but the excitment must of woken me up just enough to not let me get back to sleep again.
I also think I may have tried to more activley go along with the movement through the pillow, instead of letting myself go naturally, would this be a bad thing to do?
Thanks for reading, and any advice you can give me
I'd love to be able to try this again tonight!

congrats. You were either really close, or already dreaming. All my WILDs start with an FA kinda like the one you had. Experiences like that are pretty common, and can get you excited very easily if you are a WILD newbie, but eventually you learn to keep calm, and things get a little easier.

Thanks. Guess I just have to keep at it, and hopefully i'll be less likley to ruin it next time by becoming too excited!

I've done that a few times, got overly excited about a WILD, and completely ruined it. When I get to those stages where I start feeling and seeing things, I tend to just try to ignore it as best I can. Doesn't always work, but when it does, things get more intense, which makes it harder to ignore, which usually results in me waking up.
