Perfect Analogy!

Some believe you can I had a coworker whose uncle was into OBE's and had been doing them for years (self-taught) and decided to teach his niece (my coworker) she learned it and became pretty proficient at it within a years time. She says her and her uncle always conversate in the astral realm/OBE realm and go on trips together. To confirm this wasn't all in her head, I asked her does she talk to her uncle on the phone afterwards or something to confirm all this and she not only said yes, but she also says if she wants to tell him something or vice versa, they'll visit each other in that realm and deliver valuable/highly important information...and the next day they'll act on that information i.e. drive to the bank and deposit my last check, afterwards pickup chinese food because i'm in the mood for chinese tonight. They have long drawn out conversations in that realm...she describes it as being no different from seeing each other in waking life. She also likes to travel fly/teleport to egypt and different places like hawaii, it's really cool. But you know there are others who don't believe in that kind of thing so regarding this matter, i'll quote Henry Ford, one of the world's most richest men in history, a leading visionary who never said the word "impossible", and also responsible for the development of the automobile and V-8 engine (at the time everyone thought breathing underwater or flying through the air without aid was more likely to happen the the development of a V-8 engine)...

Wow that sounds so fun. I want to learn more about OBE's now. Sounds like the most fun you can have in real life -ish.

I wish i had someone who was close enough that i could converse with them about lucid dreaming and OBE's and such and try to do this on my own! But alas i havnt met anyone i know in person who shares my passion!

Do you know how many people discovered lucid dreaming the night after watching The Matrix? This correlation is symbolic of the hobby, seriously!

I've seen Agent Smith in my lucids, and flown like Neo. Pretty fricken' sweet.

Yeah, but...in the movie, wasnt the Matrix "fake" and Zion "real"? So, you mean that entering LD is like hanging out in Zion while waking life is the M, right?

While we're pondering possibilities - ponder this. Why wonder if shared dreaming is real or how to prove/accomplish it. We're all already in the shared dream. I hope you see the analogy to the points above.

So who is who? Seeker, Oneironaut ect... the One or Morpheus? Burns, Aquanina, ect. Trinity? Theres too many of us!

Such thoughts have occured to me, I've actually had lucid dreams where agent smith type characters chase me and I know if they catch me they will take a way my lucidity. And in many of my lucids I am followed or have the feeling that I'm being watched.

I don't know who would be who except Oneironaut would have to be Morpheus. Have you ever read his LD's. He's an amazing dreamer.

I had my best lucid the night after watching the matrix.

Weird.... but cool. i've never seen the matrix so I dont completely understand... i think i'm going to try to see it now.

another thing, I thought OOBEs weren't real. but I guess it's a matter of opinion if you've never done it before. For anyone who knows about OOBEs, are they like lucid dreaming? i dont know much about it.

There's nothing to work, its just using The Matrix as an analogy for Lucid Dreaming, something many people use to describe Lucid Dreaming. This is just a lot more in depth

Hmm, I don't think character names from the movie, such as morpheus, trinity, neo, ghost etc...matter much. Kind of like how the continuing saga of Matrix goes on online...everyone is pitching in and interacting with the matrix, everyone is important.

Thats how i was viewing it also, not as the actual movie but we are just players in the whole scheme, its a really cool thought!
