So far, two in one night, on about four occasions, the first one being March 9, 2006. I'm still working on three. I mainly use the Named Subconsious Technique. I don't know whether the effectiveness is affected by actually addressing my subconsious as opposed to simply telilng myself what I want.

I had a string I lost count of... but they weren't very good. It was more like a series of slides than LDs, really. It happened shortly after I started RCing. I'd get into a dream, RC, go slightly lucid and lose it. Then another and another and another. They were all DILD, I guess.

      It was not very satisfying.

Most I ever had was 3 in one night, all very long, totally stable. Here's the first one:

2/6/04 BLACK VOID. The sensation of waking out of a deep sleep into a total void without any sensations whatsoever. It is completely black and there is no sense of body, nor of sight, sound, touch, taste, or smell. Space does not exist although I am self-aware and can think quite clearly and experience the passage of time. I realize that I’m in an altered state of consciousness and have gone very far out, REALLY way out, like being dead. I am calm and patiently wait for the next thing to happen. After what seems to be a very long time, like hours (???), a perfect male voice with an African American accent emerges from the silence and gives me a discourse on lucid dreaming. The voice says that there will be rainy days and the sooner these occur the better. It is like being in a lecture theater and listening to a seminar by a distinguished professor. I am able to think analytically while he is talking and decide that if a person has too many problems, it is difficult to concentrate on the dreamwork. After perhaps 40 minutes, I feel a sensation of coldness and return to my physical body.
