It is hard to change the light levels in any dream.
There are many theories why the brain doesn't like changing light levels.
It is possible but it will require a bit of effort.

Last night i had a lucid, i was standing in my front room and realised i was dreaming, i looked at my tv and said tv on, it turned on, then i said tv off, i kept saying this on,off,on,off over and over lol, then i looked outside and saw it was night, i said daytime but it stayed night, i shut my eyes and thought when i open them it will be day, but i just woke up D: why is it so hard to make night into day??

Its hard because you believe its hard.
The first time I tried to turn night into day, I succeeded. I just thought about the sun rising and held my hand out and said "GO". Immediately the sun rose and crossed the sky really fast. I had to yell "STOP" to make it stop before it became night again.
Try and do something that makes it more realistic for you. Closing your eyes and willing it to be day is probably the hardest way. Instead, do something else like commanding the sun, or finding a remote control for the sun or something like that.
