They just don't get it! Why does the world know so little of lucid dreaming?
Is it because we have not tried hard enough to get the word out?
I wish someone would interview us!
In the august 9th issue of Newsweek they have an interesting article about dreams. "What they mean: The Latest theories The link to sleep & insimnia".
Amazing This should go under my taboo topic post.
No mention of Lucid dreaming in the entire article?!?!? Why? They even mention keeping a journal for better recall.
Your Two cents? >

this is annoying. PPl prefer to be zombies, that is being close minded about the possibilities
Right now I'm trying to get my sister into lucid dreaming. But she resists. Her main argument is "why would I need it? I'm already cool with what i have"
"the world is not ready for what we have to show them"
"we dont free a mind once it reaches a certain age"
Some people just dont want to accept something that sounds so outrageously impossible.

but yeah the matrix had many parts of its plot inspired from lucid dreaming.
I guess people are not ready for the whole new world that awaits them.
People who don't apply themselves don't know what they can really do, such as LDing. They think "Oh, I'd never be able to do that, so why try?" Heck, I never thought I'd understand IPX, but I went to bed that night and woke up understanding it inside-and-out. Also, I think it's a social reaction. LDs are a bit on the mysterious side, which is not a social norm, so people want to keep others from thinking they're interested in stuff like that.

yea i agree, i wanted to see waking life and my friend kinda thought he did too and now i got this website and i always talk about lucid dreaming and i get the impression he thinks im kinda wakko. i told him to read up on it so he can learn on how to get lucid dreaming but hes too lazy to try. i got to convince him tho hes the only person to talk to in real life about lucid dreams. you guys are awsome but i want someone close to me that knows what im talking about
i didn't believe in the Phamnomnal, (telekenises) but i believe it now, with LD & Meditation you can do anythinganythings Possible...

it is a lot of effort that some people hafta put in to LD that others dont wanna put in, at least for me i hafta put a lotta effort in. i only started tryin to have LDs over the summer because im gettin regular sleep and im livin on my own wit no cable, and i didnt have internet for a month and a half, so it helped to have a hobby. once the semester starts i prolly wont have the time or energy to put as much effort in as i am now, and my sleep schedule will be all screwy so my rem periods wont be predictable
The majority doesn't know much about unusual phenomena, in my opinion.
I think it's because the majority propably is too incredulous.
Nobody I have talked about LD's in real life believe me...
Are you dreaming?
i don't talk about much of anything that happens in my private life, i keep it pretty quiet, and what i practice and not practice...i don't have a father to talk to..he was murdered, and my mom wouldn't understand..so![]()

I saw that article at my hair cutters and so I took it home and read it. It was interesting, but nothing about lucid dreaming. had some nice pictures though
Oohhumm
What so impossible about Lucid dreaming that makes it so hard to believe? When I first read about it I though "Cool, I never though about that but why not?"
I never doubted LDs were real, I only doubted my ability to do so.
What's the point of waking up when dreams are so fun?

I remember that article. It was pretty dissappointing. I sent a reply to the author but never got anything back.Though as long as they did something vaguely related to LDs I'm cool with the progress.
