lucky! I get opposite effects...stress=no dream recall![]()
enjoy your stress
One crazy thing I've noticed is that I get more LDs when I'm stressed out. Is this just me, or has anyone else had this happen as well?
for example...
Working on a report, decide to go to sleep @ 2 AM, in my haste, I shut off the computer without saving my work (honesty, I usually save my work, I dunno why I didn't, lol). I decide I'll finish it off in the morning. Going to sleep I have my first LD....
This week is also the beginning of finals... I've had at least one LD every night![]()

Self knowledge is the key and with out it we can unluck no other knowledge worth having
I think most lucid dreamers and thier lucidity suffers from stress.
However, just a thought...... Maybe because of the work related things going on in your brain aroused your conscious mind more so than if you were to normally go to sleep. And maybe the time change played a role as well.
Hey, whatever works. Although stress is not necessarily a good thing.
both my LDs happened at a time when i was very stressed. for me, the stress provided extra incentive to 'escape', which made for easier to leave reality for a while. that and having somewhat messier sleep patterns.
opposite for me...stress=no Ld's, but then i've had no LD's for ages...
I seem to be better at interpretation...

try to go back and make them last.'
Yep, when I'm stressed my dream recall declines, though I can affiliate that with less sleep and more abrupt awakenings.

I'm with the majority here -- stress usually kills my recall and my LDs. Probably because when I'm stressed I just want to make sure I get enough sleep, and I don't worry about dreaming or becoming lucid.

Mynd you, møøse bites Kan be pretty nasti...
I think it depends on what kind of stress.
When my life is going downhill and everything is wrong, usually thats when i can't sleep, or i pass out quick depending on substances or whatnot![]()
i also believe that if you have alot going on in your mind, like plans for something that is due the next day...your excessive reasoning will infect the UNCONSIOUS part of your brain, therefore inducing lucid dreams.

So I'm not alone with that...It's probably the same reason for me.Originally posted by voidofform
