When doing the wake back to bed technique can you eat?

Just wondering if anyone had noticed any difference in the effectiveness of the technique if they had breakfast while awake during that time?

I don't think it should be a problem but if you wake up during the night and you eat your stomach might growl while you go back to sleep. Other than that I don't think there should be any trouble falling back asleep.

I eat something very small, like a cookie or something, just because I know I'd get hungry otherwise and that would keep me up longer.

same here... sometimes im starving when waking up. If the urge not met by some food, it would make me not go to sleep. But i wouldnt recommend taking an early dinner, that would only made you extreme tired and lazy
