I used have them quite often(not every time, but often enough) when I wanted but I have lost it over time, and lack of dream journal. though I recently became active with it again and hope to have one damn near every time I try!!!

To the people here who can have LDs at will, how long did it take to get to that level? I am not talking about naturals, I want to know from people who practiced from scratch. And what is everyones best method, I mean do you have more WILDS or DILD or whatever and which one is most vivid, realistic and an overalll "better" experience.

Interesting topic. I would like to know that too.
DILDs:.....2
MILDs:.....1
DEILDs:....0
WILDs:.....1

I can't really LD at will, but 4 day out of 7 days I have LD's, even when I don't try.
When I first joint DV, it took me a week to get my first LD. At that time I used the FILD technique. The first couple months it was a successful technique. Then I lost interest.
Two months ago I returned to DV. Four weeks ago I started WILDing (normal WILD) an DILDing 4 out of 7 days. I wake up 2/3 times a night. I got used to it through the WBTB-tech. Usually I set my alarm at 5 hours of sleep and wake up a couple minutes before it goes off.
Hope it helps. All you have to do is read a lot of info on LDing.

So many of our problems persist because we see them in only one way and keep beating our head against the same wall
Nice topic.
Wow!! I've joined DV from about a month ago but still nothing!!! :envious:When I first joint DV, it took me a week to get my first LD.![]()
I can switch Lucidity off and on in certain dreams. I don't think it requires any practice or method of doing this it just happens. However, a factor of this could be to do with mental state and how this effects your dreaming - for example I find depression increases my chance of being able to LD at will. Other than that I find that LDing can be either a hit or miss.

I just remembered something... about 4 years ago there was one week where I could lucid dream every night... after that I just stopped dreaming. I don't remember what did I dream about, but I remember one being something about Xena - the warrior princess... (hahah)... GRRRrrr how did I do that?!?!? Damn it...
