      3 major barriers (WILD)

Itīs me again, with some questions about WILD.

So I have 3 major probs. These are...

      1. I am either too dizzy or too awake.
It happens every time! So either I donīt remember to do things right, and I fall asleep right away, OR I remember to do everything right, but falling asleep takes damn long! So during the time I try to fall asleep, I give up.
Usually I sleep for about 4-6h. If I go right back asleep, I just am too dizzy. If Iīm awake for some time, Iīm too awake (even if I just walk to another room)

      2. I donīt know what to do.
Iīve tried pain anchoring. For some weird reason (varies), it never works. Iīve also tried damn active relaxation. Doesnīt work.

      3. I give up.
At some point I simply give up. I toss around or something..

So please help me with these!

I think that the only real problem is the first one..
I almost achieved a WILD two nights ago but i've lost the awareness and fell normally asleep.. in my opinion you shouldn't TRY to fall asleep , you should just empty your mind after some relaxation.. For me the best is the breath counting from 100.. then for point 2 you just have to follow the tutorials you can find in the site.
And for point 3 , patience..

My barrier to WILD seems to be when I'm trying to WIL . I get WILDs without trying.

Dot he WBTB method and just lay in bed, Don't try to do it. just think and such.

I already posted this on my DJ, but this is what Iīm gonna do:

      1. Tell myself what to do, make it clear that Iīll WILD!
      2. Sleep for 4 hours
      3. After waking up sit on my bed for slightly longer than feels good, about 5min. During this time I will clear my mind, and focus, that I will have a WILD
      4. Lay down and set a pain anchor.
      5. Relax
      6. Just focus on the pain

You need to be more time to be awake to make a WILD work, I think.

I woke after 5.5 hours, stayed up for 3 and had an accidental WILD.

You stayed up for three hours? Dang. I don't have that sort of patience. Plus there's a fairly limited window of opportunity between when the last person in my house goes to bed and the first person wakes up.

First off I'm a noob, second of all this is what I'm gonna say. I took a nap to just try and wild when I was barely tired. I was up for about an hour until I entered SP but it was the first time I actually recall going into it so I ended up waking up because the huge vibrations were kind of unexpected. I counted down from 500 and tried some of my own techniques, I've never actually WILD'd however. Moral of the story is don't give up, and maybe you should switch up your routine every now and then if your not experiencing LD at all. Instead of staying up for 5 mins either stay up (up to an hour) longer or pretty much go back to sleep right away or maybe even nap during the day. Like you said your either to awake or to tired, so all you have to do is fine tweak it. Oh yea and dont give up, go untill you either LD or fall asleep, thats how I do it. If you have to give up and fall asleep then your obviously to awake, try to relax more and keep an open mind (read tutorials for this if you don't know how). I would have been LD but like I said I'm not to familiar with entering SP, I just know what it feels like once your in it. And dont let your hopes down, if you stick with it you'll get it eventually. Hopefully I get mine soon

I feel really good right now

I didnīt succeed in WILD, but I broke some of tose damn barriers. First of all, I found out, that just sitting on my bed for a moment is great before WILD. Secondly, now I know, what to do. Third thing is, that I didnīt give up! The reason for that is, I took a comfortable posture, so I didnīt even feel the urge to stop.

So only the first barrier (too dizzy or too awake) still exists (not completely away), but letīs change the name to "I canīt fall asleep", cuz thatīs the real prob now.
When I tried to WILD, I just kept going. I firmy though that "I wonīt stop before I have to get up!" (4 hours later). I just couldnīt fall asleep, and I tried to do the thing for about... 40min? Then I fell asleep normally.

So if I could just fall asleep faster, Iīd succeed! Itīs so close. I need you guys!

How can I fall asleep faster?

YAY, i have a wonderful solution to your final problem. i say yay because thats how i felt when i forst found about this technique. ready

get in a comfortable position, close your eyes. and every five seconds open your eyes for about a second. like blinking in reverse. and its called reverse blinking, WOOT

do this for about 5 or 10 mins and see how you feel. it will make your very drowsey.

you could jump into a bath of ice, and reverse blinking will still make you sleepy / drowsey.
so when i incorporate this into my WILD, i lye on my back look at the ceiling and start reverse blinking. when i start to feel fumbly (that stage where you cant quite think straight and its hard to focus) i stop doing it, just keep your eyes closed.

read this if you are having trouble with the next part

I have a similar problem..I either fall asleep to quickly or if I try to concentrate I can't fall asleep. I just need to somehow find the right balance.
