      AFternoon naps

Lets say you do the WBTB method...instead of waking up for 30-90 min. you Just stay up, and go to sleep like in the afternoon (waking for several hours.)

Can you get a lucid dream like that.

Ive been curious about it myself. Ive tried twice with no success, but Im not sure. Maybe I took my nap too late. maybe after being awake 3 or 4 hours? I dont know. Id be curious about any feedback people have about this also.

I used to take naps regularly during the school year because I was lacking sleep. I almost never remembered my dreams and if i did, they were really vague. For me, I dont think napping is such a good idea for lucid dreaming.

Actually I first discovered WILDs, befor I knew what they were, in school taking napes. But that was early in the day and i was probably only awake for 90 minutes before falling asleep.

      And, Nightowl, nice new sig.

Yeah, I've never remembered any dreams from naps either.. but for some people, that's exactly the best time to LD. So, hey, experiment. You may be surprised what works.

I think if you wait too long, instead of hittin REM sleep first, you hit delta, and have to go through like 2 or 3 cycles to hit REM again, so i'd put 180 minutes top time, anything more and WBTB is ineffective.

Oh, i've seen that dancing spiderman somewhere

During the school year I used to rarely get enough sleep at NIGHT to enter REM cycles, but I always had a 1-2 hour nap after school and I usually remembered dreams from these naps. So i guess it varies from person to person.. so listen to Scwigglie.. find out what works best for you.
