Heh, this is what happens to me EVERY STINKIN TIME I try a WILD... Drives me crazy because I always think I am about to get in, then it all just disapears...
If anyone has tips for Bethany it would be great, would help me too.![]()
I laid down to take a nap and tried to enter SP using this method: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...hlight=jeff777
I lay there for ages and drifted in and out of sleep a few times. Then came the tremors. I felt like I was in an earthquake I was shaking so much. Then the loud buzzing accompanied it. What a sensation! Then there was a wooshing sound.
I thought "wow" I'll just pretend it's the sound of me taking off in flight. I saw lots of flashing lights. As it was all happening I think I tried to feel myself falling through the bed. Then I saw lots of patterns.
Then I realised it was all stopping. I lay there a little while longer. I could hear my parrots and I was awake still.
I wasn't paralysed and I wasn't dreaming
Question One: What causes all those physical sensations? They were incredibly real.
Question Two: Why was I not paralysed or dreaming? Did I get too excited?

Lucid Dream Goal: Give a dream character a flower and jump off the Sky Tower.
Recorded Lucids since joining: 3 DILD, 1 WILD
I often have other lucids that I forget or that I don't record for whatever reason.
Lucid Tasks Completed: 2 Basic (but one was a month too late)

I don't know what causes the images, sounds, and sensations that accompany SP. You probably could look it up.
It is possible you got too excited. I find when I WILD I need to stay super calm and just on the edge of nodding off. If I'm much more aware than that I'll do what you did -- get SP that fades after a while. Sometimes I actually DO fall asleep momentarily and wind up in a lucid dream anyway. Try keeping your mind at a lower level of awake than you were at. Hopefully that will help you get there.

Thanks for replying. I have been googling this since making this post. It's a little difficult to find an answer. Most sites seem to discuss these as pre-astral projection effects.
One thing I have found out is that I was probably in SP just before the vibrations etc without realising it.
And yes, I think my excitement wrecked it for me. The vibrations and wooshing went on for so long it was pretty difficult to contain my excitement.
I hope I experience it again.

This is my 100th post and I thought I'd use it to say once again...
That was soooo damn exciting!
lol... ok, I'll shut up now...
I never want to forget what that felt like. I never realised how strong the vibrations and sounds would be. I thought they'd be way harder to detect. More subtle... perhaps barely perceptible. But no, they were really strong. Very exciting.
Ok, NOW I'll shut up.![]()
