Also dream journalling, while improving dream recall will also help you to recognise some patterns in your dreams. Perhaps certain objects that appear reoccuringly, people, places etc. Like for me, there is a person that appears quite frequently in my dreams, even though I haven't seen him in waking life for 5 or so years now. Since coming to these forums - and learning what reality checks are - the next time I see him, I'm definitely going to reality check, since it's pretty damn likely it's a dream!
