This sounds very interesting, but it keeps refering to the videos even starting on the first couple pages. LIke it says, "When you
finish reading Part I, don’t go directly to Part II. That comes later.
2. Next, study the Part I videos. There are three of them and they are recognizable by the blue print on their
labels."
Do I actualy need the videos, or can I ignore that, and just use the manual?, because I don't intend to spend a penny unless it works really well. I thought this was supposed to be free... Anyways, whenever you reeturn, get back to me on that please.

Hmm...I read for a half hour before I got through all the marketing hype. I'm not really impressed. Besides, Reiki works just fine for me and it didn't cost me anything.

Holy F**k!!! That´s a lot to read... What parts do i need to read? all??? Can´t you try to explain just briefly about how it helps Lucid dreaming.

It doesn't necessarily help with lucid dreaming, at least not directly. If I use it to help resolve unhealthy emotional states (which is what EFT is doing) It will increase my overall state of relaxation and help me to sleep better , focus better, ect.. Its also great for easing pain and helping cuts & stuff heal faster.

What can I say...I'm into some off the wall stuff!

The point of posting that particular link was to show that there is something going on with energy healing and that science is trying to understand it. Its worth reading if you've got the time.

Hmm..Interesting article, though it doesn't exactly teach Reiki. I dind't read it all, but I got the idea, and it's pretty interesting. Anyways, if you think that's a lot, check out the eft guide, it's 87 pages. I don't know if I'll actually even use it, as it's so much to read.

I realized, "it's not nice to post important advice and just leave!" I'll try to check in from time to time.

Nah, you don't need the videos at all! Those are just for people who are going to use EFT on others. I've never seen a video of it in my life and EFT has done WONDERS in my life.

I don't know what this guy is talking about when he says "all I saw was marketing." Sure the videos cost money, but you don't need the videos. The entire guide is free on the internet. There are also lots of free posts by other psychologists giving tips about how to use it for certain problems.

Maybe Reiki works too. Never heard of it! But I can say, EFT works. It is incredible.

Also, you don't need to read all 87 pages. The actual technique itself is, let me look... one second...

I would advise that you read the entire 35 page first half (there's no need to read about "the videos" or the second half), so that you'll know more about how to use it, and you'll avoid certain mistakes. Thirty-five pages is decent chunk of time, and we live in an information age where we are bombarded with information. So I understand your hesitance.

Let me be clear, though. This information is free. More to the point, this information, if you choose to use it, may be the most important thing you ever read in your life. I highly recommend it for anyone trying to control lucidity.

I'm not saying that I don't think it works, just that the first part of the article sounded like alot of hype building up the product for a sales pitch. I didn't mean to sound insulting and I apologize if I came across that way.

I just get so sick of the endless commercialisation of everything (including Reiki).

Oh, that I can deal with. 35 is a lot different than 87 pages. I read the first 8 pages so far, only to realize they didn't actually teach anything, and the actually technique EFT info is right after what I read . Anyways, I'll get back once I figure this thing out. I am also interested in its use for vision correction, which I read a bit on.

Wow! that's a lot to read. I don't think I can do that much reading I read the first couple of chapters and with no excitement, sorry it just didn't grab my attention span enough to keep going.

I think I have seen this before. My stepmom had a copy of the part of the manual where the guy talks about the whole procedure like baking a cake. I saw it and was like, "WTF." But now that I understand what it is, it kind of makes sense. The actual procedure is on page 28, but I suggest you read all before that to understand.

I don't know how to use it for lucid dreams, though. For the affirmation would you say, "I know that I have this inability to have (frequent) lucid dreams, but I deeply and completely accept myself," or something like that?

In order to find an effective affirmation, you have to tailor it to the precise problem you're having, put another way, your personal history. It's a bit tough, since we don't remember much about our dreams.

But a general "even though I have this fear of having a lucid dream..." should start to unravel that complicated ball of yarn.

So I say, "even though I have this problem...I fully and completely accept myself", or are there other affirmations I should use (like "this and this will happen from now on)"? I quickly skimmed it, and the "even though I am...I completely and fully accept myself" type things were all I see, and it seems odd that that is the only affirmation.

Anyways, I have finally gotten to the actual technique, and though I haven't read it in depth, I quickly skimmed it, and it seems weird as hell. So I'm all for trying it! Well, I think Lucid dreaming won't be the first thing I do with it, but once I learn it, Lucid Dreaming is high up on that list. I am wondering though, what else have you used it for chevalier_violet? (if it's personal and don't want to say it, no pressure)

Very interesting. It is well documented that acupuncture itself can help with all sorts of things, including pain management, addictive behavior and a host of other issues. In fact i've had the flu for several days, and received an acupuncture treatment yesterday, and honestly, today i feel so much beetter. I don't see why stimulating acupuncture points with your fingers and repeating positive affirmations wouldn't work, and i'm sure if it does, it prabably could have an application for lucid dreaming. I will try this technique for several things and report back.

you remind me off a chapter of Darren Brown book where he said their was a girl that had the flu for three days so at the last day she sat down and said devil be gone. well the flu did go away and she said it was because of that but then he point that flu only last for a few days e.g. three days. so if you did that in day one then you could say it the accupunture and not your own immune system but then you waited several days but doesnt the flu last for several days.

well it a good to be sceptic. as i say if he did it on the first day of flu and got cured it woulbe be more believable then waiting several days when the flu last several days. see it more probable he immune system did it. selective attenion people

The problem with this is:
1) Selection bias. Basically, you remember, and CHOOSE to remember, certain events more than others.
2) The problem of correlation/causation. Just because a happens simultaneously with b does NOT mean that a CAUSED b.
3) Placebo effect. Expecting for a to happen when b happens will probably cause a to happen when b happens--but this falls back to correlation/causation because b did not CAUSE a, the placebo effect caused a because of expectations you had.

see you choose to remeber that you had accumpunture and flu went a way so A cause B you forget that flu last several days so even if you didnt have accumpunture the cold would have went away soon anyway e.g. a day later.

I've been focusing on overcoming my fear of approaching women and improving my vision.

Anyway, my vision is slightly better, but with the women, it's getting a lot better really fast. My attitude is changing. It's also because I've been reading stuff by a guy named juggler at www.charismaarts.com

I used it to get over an ex, overcome a fear of rejection of my work (to great results). EFT has really improved my life.

On the topic of "statements" - the formula is fine. You can toy with the formula a bit - I deeply and completely accept myself even though I have this... X

The problem is, I can't really fill in X for you. It's best if it comes from you. If you start with the affirmation above, (X = fear of becoming lucid) you should soon hit upon other important blocks: ie. fear of nightmares, of not caring about real life anymore, of success, of making all your dreams come true... in your dreams but not in real life. What else: fear of uncomfortable situations (I don't know what makes YOU uncomfortable though). Try to be as specific as possible: for instance, fear of dreaming about spiders.

Cuz your mind KNOWS that when you improve your dreaming awareness, you are going to remember more and more of your dreams... sometimes that's not completely pleasant at first.

More to the point, learn to sound out for yourself what's blocking you. Then, armed with EFT, nothing can anymore.

I repeat, though: be as specific as possible. Make x = fear of dream sex with a gorgeous blonde (i'm afraid of that, though I don't know why). I dont know what it is for you, but be specific.

I'm not sure if you're joking or not. I did mean I'm using EFT to improve my vision and get over my fear of women (one secret to good writing is learning to spot and eliminate vagueness of syntax like that, so thank you).

And even if you were joking, it is incidentally a good question. I don't know why I'm afraid of having good vision, but every time my vision improves, I get really nervous, I feel something weird in my stomach - I just feel really uncomfortable. For me, being near-sighted is more comfortable than seeing normally. How weird is that?

Well that was my lame attempt at a joke; sorry if it wasn't that funny.

I am near-sighted now, altho I wasn't when I was younger. I started doing a lot of really close up (microscope) work in my 20's and that's when it happened. I don't know if you have always been near-sighted or not, but maybe it is partly the fact you are attached to the glasses . I have tried to wear contacts occasionally, and besides the fact they bother my eyes, I kind of like wearing my glasses and I miss them. Strange I know. So maybe you are not weird either. When you are near-sighted, you can see really well close up, so it can be an adavantage. (Also, I hesitate to mention this--but I seriously doubt that EFT can fix your vision. Near-sightedness is a combination of environment and genetic tendency, and our eyeballs actually become a different shape. I am not against EFT as a method, and altho I have been lazy to learn about it, a prominent doctor whom I admire recommends it for all kinds of things, and I have a book about it that I should read and try. But for mental things maybe, not physical things like eyeball-shape.)

P.S. A Purple Knight should definitely not have a fear of women. Many women would love to meet a Purple Knight.
