Feed them to the alligators, duh.
So I walk out of my office and this white dog is on the ground I thought it was my dog but it didn't make any sense b/c he died a couple yrs back. I realize it was my cousins dog I thought weird she lives over an hour away so I ask the dog am I dreaming. He looks at me smiles and shakes his head up and down. So I go to my sisters room and say Hey how does it feel to be in my dream? She looked at me rolled her eyes and said whatever just shut up I questioned it did an RC and the result was I was dreaming but somehow she just made me feel so dumb that I convinced myself I was awake. Even though moments later I walked outside to find a jungle with jumping alligators trying to kill someone who resembled Steve Irwin. These DCs are just so convincing I don't know what to do about that...

Feed them to the alligators, duh.
If you're relying on the reactions of dream characters to tell whether you're lucid or not, then it must not have been hard.
Seriously. Just get it through your head that you cannot EVER trust DCs to make that distinction! Reality check as much as you need to. Do them in public so that you get used to ignoring other people and just focusing on yourself.

He prolly has some underlying sister issues. I know for a fact that I have a lot of influence over how my brother thinks of himself. This is more than likely a RL issue that is manifesting itself into his dream world.
Your point is still valid. However, I doubt he would be silly enough to believe any ol' DC that made him question whether or not he was awake. I could be wrong, though.
