Thread: Digital Watch Tip

Weird, that's never happened to me (except for when the watch's battery is almost dead ) I don't use the light on my watch in dreams very often, but the last time I did, it worked fine, although I think at one point it seemed a bit dimmer than usual.

I've had dreams before where the light would either not work at all, or where it would be so dim the numbers were still unreadable. That was a long time back, though.

I wouldn't be surprised for the effects to vary by person. If that's a good reality check for you, go ahead and use it.

Yeah you're probably right about it varying from person to person.

Another reason I do this is because one of my waking reality test is when I meet people i don't know (so hopefully when I meet strange DC's I'll check)
I find that if I check my watch with the light it looks less weird than looking away i.e. if someone is talking to me and I look at my watch, look away and then look back It almost looks like im bored with the person ha ha
Using the light is just a more inconspicuous way of reality checking (for me)

I think the members here have pretty well established that it varies for each person. Some people find looking at digital clocks and such are good reality checks, others report that the digital readouts always look normal in their dreams. Same thing for the deal with light switches or other devices not functioning properly. You just have to find what works for you.

Oh, and I tend to believe that a lot of it has to do with expectations. If you expect that a digital clock will not look normal in your dreams, it probably won't.

I couldn't agree more. My original post was for people who use digital watches for reality checking. Just a little tip that I find really useful, hope others can too
