1. The way i would do it would be to RC during the day, look around and see if your relatives..etc are present. Telling yourself that IF it WAS a dream, they might be there due to them being your dream sign. I personally see a lot of people from my old school in my dreams, so when I RC i look around and think, "is there anyone here who wouldn't normally be here, any school friends..etc" I also tell myself before bed to notice any school friends, celebrities and other people who wouldn't normally be near me in the waking world.
2. "Lie down and drift back to sleep. Imagine that you are back in the dream that you just had. This time, however, imagine that you saw a dreamsign in your dream and recognized it. As you fall asleep keep visualizing yourself in your dream, recognizing your dreamsign, and realizing that you are in a dream."
I took that from the tutorial on MILD here by GestaltAlteration. Basically, as you're drifting back to sleep try and create the dream you just had, include certain elements but put one of your relatives there. In your created dream play out the 'scene' where you notice this person and therefore notice that it's a dream, just play that over and over and it should stick. Say, 'i am dreaming because this person is my dream sign'.. Hope that helps.
