effect of excersize on LDing
I've heard that excersizing in the day induces delta brain waves at night, which I understand is the deepest level of sleep. I went running like 7 miles yesterday and I fell asleep in about 5 minutes last night. I had a lot of regular dreams from 12-5, then I woke up at 5 and stayed up till about 6 and went back to sleep hoping for some LDs during the morning nap but I ended up having a bunch more regular dreams. Do you think that excersizing makes it less likely to have LDs because you're in too deep a level of sleep to become conscious? If so that would be kind of a bummer because i like exercize and I love how easy it is to fall asleep after doing it!

Hey there,
I very much doubt exercise has any sort of direct effect on your dreams.
However, if you exhaust your body, you will sleep deeper. Deeper sleep makes it harder to have lucid dreams and remember dreams as well. That doesn't mean that exercise automatically has this sort of effect, but certainly, really going over your limit and fatiguing yourself could. Ofcourse, getting good restful sleep, certainly in the first part of the night, could give you what you need to recover (especially if you exercise regularly).
Just my 2 cents,

Unless you are really tired it won't make a difference. I go 7-10 miles almost every day and I lucid dream fine.
