      Exercise, help or hurt?

Well last night i did about 30 minutes of exercise (push-ups & sit-ups) Then red for about 10 minutes. Then i went to bed thinking it would help because i was worn out more than i am normally being on the computer before i go to bed but i was more uncomfortable than normal and just wanted your inputs to see if its good or bad. Thanks.

Don't know about LDing, but it's bad for sleeping. You'd have to do a long-assed time of exercising to be worn out enough, because your body is usually still too fired up if you get straight into bed efter exercisnig.

For sleeping, it's better to exercise in the afternoon.

Exercise is good for anything, but you definately should not do it too soon before bed.

I have definitely noticed an increase in dream vividness on my work out nights. Anyone else care to check this? If you work out on the same days each week, compare your DJ entries.

And I agree that excercise too close to bedtime can get screwy.

Well for the passed 2 days I have had baseball practice from 7 to 9. I fell asleep at 10. I haven't recalled a full dream those passed days. But I was thinking, because my body was so worn out I could get into SP real fast because my muscles are all sore and stuff, they would want to start regenerating right away. But sadly I haven't woken up for WBTB any of the nights.

So all in all I think it does make your recall worse.

On Wikipedia, it says that intense physical activity helps with lucidity.

I weight train very intensely in the mornings. Since I tend to get up earlier on these days and expend a lot of energy, I sleep more soundly on those evenings.

For what it's worth, I have 15-20 lucids a month. Not sure how much my excercise is affecting this however?

      Healthy body = healthy mind.

Healthy mind = better lucid dreams.

well the last night which was the 2nd day i exorcised i remembered 2 dreams (or 1 long mushy one) and had 1 lucid which i woke up from straight away. My record so far but not sure if it has anything to do with getting lucid or anything, although the dreams were really really vivid.
