Logic does not exist in any way, shape, or form in dreams. Convince yourself that, and the entire world of dreams will be unlocked for you.
Over the past two nights I have had three dreams where I did the infamous "breath through your nose" reality check only to think in my dream that there is something wrong with my nose (a.k.a. that I'm not pinching my nose hard enough, etc.) I seem to use "logic" to dismiss it. It is somewhat annoying, because had I believed that I was in a dream I would have had 3 lucids in two nights! My dreams are already very vivid, in one dream I remember saying, "I can't be dreaming, because everything is too real." Therefore, I didn't actually accept the fact that I was dreaming and eventually went back into the dreamscape.
Has anybody had a similar experience? Does anybody have a creative idea as to how I can remedy this and know that I'm dreaming and actually trust that I am pinching my nose tight enough and I can breath through my nose, because I'm asleep in my bed?
Also, during one of those failed Lucid's I did a backup RC where I tried to make my finger go through my hand, but it didn't. Maybe it's because I "knew" that it wouldn't because I thought I was in real life.
Does anybody have any suggestions?

"This is for long forgotten light at the end of the world..."
I was thinking about, in addition to doing the more traditional RC of plugging the nose, asking myself to look around and see how logical things are (or in the case of dreams how illogical they are). Also, I was wondering if trying to retrace my steps of how I got to where I am at would benefit me.
I really feel that if I could get my RC's to work properly then I would have a DILD almost every night.
Does becoming lucid get easier the more lucid dreams you have and the more familiar (and habitual) they become?

I will fill you in on what I used to become very well advanced in most ways when it comes to lucid dreaming. This affects not only awareness of being in the dream and that you are dreaming, but also in length of, control of and realness of lucid dreams.
Heres the technique that I used and still use to advance LDs:
1. While trying to fall asleep, say to yourself I'm in my dream and repeat over till sleep.
This helps awareness and recognition.
2. After wakeing up, sit down and recall and archive every aspect of that dream.
Just repeat and doesn't really take long till you recieve results. This worked for me, I used it for practice, for I leared how to LD on my own without knowing what it was. It should work for you as it doesn't delve into any personal steps.
Hope it helps

Perhaps you need to start with an RC that you can't logically dismiss, like shooting a fireball, flying or even doing the finger through palm first. Because breathing through the blocked nose is (to me anyway) the most easy to dismiss logically, but most other RC's aren't. Finding a digital clock could work too.

Finding my wingsClouD - Hur hur, I'm not even gonna say anything. I'll take this to the chin.
Jdeadevil - Don't take it to the chin Cloud! Do what you do best, and Omnislash the bastard!
Yeah the breathing through the nose thing is a hard one to really feel and get right especially in dream state.
The finger through palm is simpler and effective.
I just need to look at my hand and see the floppy long wavy fingers.

Floppy long wavy fingers? Can you describe what it would look like so that I know what to expect in my dreams? Would I actually see my finger go through the palm of my hand and come out the other side like some magic trick?
Most of my dreamsigns are everyday things (bathrooms, water, the same two people) should I do the RC everytime I'm in a bathroom or see my friends or running water?

I found normal things were useless because my mind wouldn't be able to distinguish between real life and dreams since they were so ordinary RC's.
The finger in the hand...yes your finger sinks through your palm like a magic trick.
With the looking at the hand...I find if I look at my hand regularly through the day and focus on it for a few seconds, saying in my mind "I am dreaming".
I do this because it takes any question away if it is dreaming or not because my hands look normal, but if they go wavy like tentacles or I have like 7 fingers, and I do it...then I go Lucid every time.
Hard thing is to get to look at your hand in your dreams often enough.
It is where the daily practices come in. At work people would think you are checking the time or looking at your nails or something, so don't worry about people thinking you are crazy.
