how about sharing that mp3?![]()
Last night I tried a Lucid MP3 I received from phoenelai, after waking up at 4AM and back to bed.
I kept adjusting the volume to the minimum my MP3 player would go.
From what I remember, in a dream I was adjusting the equalizer settings to reduce the volume a little more, because I thought it was too loud to get to sleep. It's pretty interesting that the recording kept saying "You are dreaming now" but that I thought it was too loud. I have a bit of a cold, so that could be affecting my judgment.
I thought it was pretty ironic.

I just listened to it for a bit (on the computer with headphones), personally I find that it overloads the senses, making it a bit frightening. I was a bit freaked out at first, as I didn't know it was playing, and thought my headphones were going insane.
I'm going to try that tonight. It sounds creepy...like the backround you'd hear in a nightmare.

Lucids so far: 4 (3 DILD, 1 FILD) Although most are just DALDs.
Hey, thanks for mp3. But I think this is some scary sh*t! I just listening it and I'm scared as hell!

I am trying it tonight, I will try it after i wake up in a few hours, but I often have trouble getting back to sleep.
Cheis. Dailo.
It's tough to bring someone back that never really lived.
If that one was a little scary, I have a better one that is very relaxing in this thread:

It is 30 minutes long, but can be converted to 90 minutes if you have an MP3 editor like SoundForge.

I find that as i start to drift off and begining to get HI, the voice will startle me and becomes annoying.

I've had great success with my mp3. I like drones and waves so I guess I dont think its scary.
Lately I'm using a text to speech sound file triggered and loops by my alarm on my computer around 3AM. So far in 2 nighs its already shown up in my dreams. I'll keep you posted.
Same here in that I didn't think it was scary. However, the words kept me from sleeping. If only it could start after I had fallen asleep. Perhaps if I added about 10 minutes of silence at the beginning. Then it wouldn't repeat very well.
Holy crap, the second lucid.mp3 you posted, the one without the voice just had an effect on me.
I just clicked it and the sound of the whatever it was just made me take a deep breath and everything was just sharpening and moving ahg man it was weird....freaky

ZenVortex used Crystal voice from his text to speech program. I added some white noise and lowend scapes. It produced 2 lucids sunday morning!

Personally I found the voice artificial. When I record my own voice at a low level, I find it surprisingly relaxing.
ZenVortex, give me the dialog you want to use, and I'll see about recording my own voice. After all, later I plan on studying hypnosis. I can send you an MP3 of the recording, which in my opinion would sound better.

Thanks for your kind offer. What we are doing in this phase is identify the best LD programming commands ("suggestions"). The easiest way of doing this is using TTS. When we've zeroed in on the best commands, a better script can be recorded with a human voice. Meanwhile, let's concentrate on finding out what are the best commands to use and how to use them most effectively.

Almost the same thing happened to me.
Yesterday I downloaded a lucid mp3 and played it when I was falling asleep. I've never LDed before, but I am able to recall up to six dreams a night if I'm willing to get up and write them down. But last night was wierd. I played the mp3 and started getting the HI. Soon enough I was dreaming. In my dream, I was doing the RCs and getting my friends to do them with me, but for some reason it didn't dawn on me that I could have taken control.
Oh well. I'm one step closer.
And the lucidity music is amazing.
