      Great Hand RC Method

Just tried this yesterday and I got a Lucid from it last night.
Not saying you will straight away.
It is mainly for those who RC using their hands, people looking for an RC and people who want a new RC:

I obviously use my hand as an RC and always go lucid when I see my hands.
My fingers look all weird and wonky or I have like 6 fingers etc.

Trick is how do you RC during the day to make it look like your hands are like that so you see them in your dream and have the practiced RC help you become Lucid?

You Blur your Eyes and go cross-eyed. Funny huh.
Look at your hand now, and blur and go cross-eyed and say to yourself "wow look at my hand...I am dreaming".
You only have to do it for like 5 seconds to RC it each time. So it won't cause you harm. We all did it as kids.

I do this through the day and it worked for me.

wow what a great tip. Sometimes the great ideas out there are so simple. It takes a good thinker to discover these simple useful techniques
ALSO. I am starting up my own lucid dreaming website and it really needs traffic to get it up and running. There is a forum there that is quick and doesn't require a sign up. If someone could just start a thread or make a post it would help tremendously. Thanks! The URL is: www.lucidpost.mfbiz.com

... Shouldn't there be a distinction between a false and true reality check response? Otherwise, it defeats the purpose of a reality check. If you check your hand in real life and pretend it is messed up, what stops your dream self from thinking that you are only pretending to mess up your hand? You see what I'm saying? If the result of the check is the same in the dream as it is in real life, the reality check may fail to induce lucidity.

If I only even look at my hand in a dream. Job done.

What if as the hand reality check during the day, you look at your hand, and notice that it's normal and that you are in fact awake. Then, after coming to that conclusion, blur your vision so you have multiple fingers and tell yourself that if you saw that, you are dreaming.

I think it's a good idea, I'm going to try it out.

I have tried this also and it worked very well. I think it was a technique discussed by Carlos Casteneda.
I am not sure what RC means though...

I remember ending up with crabby hands in a past dream which I then nailed to become lucid. I don't know why I stopped doing these checks with the hands though! Stupid me I guess

RC means Reality Check, and it's a way to confirm to yourself whether you're dreaming or not, it's basically to test the state of which you are at.

For example: During the day, I would randomly look at my hands whenever the thought of it comes in mind just to see if there's anything unusual about them. If they seem to appear unreal and all weird, or if you end up with paws, Then I can say that you're pretty much dreaming. But if they do appear completely fine, then I can guess you're pretty much awake as a pup.

This is a form of habit which eventually carries into your dreams and therefor you can use it to become lucid.
