hey welcome to dreamviewswhat you are trying to do seems like a mix between MILD and WILD. so i will explain them both.
WILD stands for Wake iniciated lucid dream. Basicly it means trying to fall asleep consciously. I will give you an extremely watered down version of how to WILD. If you want a more detailed explanation, there are tons of tutorials around the forum. If you want a link i will give you one, but i will keep the steps extremely simple to start out.
Step one is to go to sleep and set your alarm to 5-7 hours later. When the alarm goes off get out of bed, go to the bathroom and make sure your mind is pretty awake. Step two is to go back to bed and find a comfortable position. Close your eyes and act like you are going to sleep, but try to keep your mind awake. If you dont fall asleep, you will eventually feel some crazy sensations or might see some pictures (Hypnagogic Imagery) which will get stronger till you do a reality check and find out you are dreaming! It is kind of an advanced technique, so i suggest starting with something easier like MILD. Which i will explain next.![]()
MILD stands for Mnemonic Induced Lucid Dream. Which is basicly using autosuggestion to induce a LD. you should repeat simple phrases like, "I will lucid dream tonight" or "I will reality check tonight" or something of that sort. Keep repeating that phrase over and over in your head while you are going to sleep. It should be the last thing on your mind before you go to sleep. Hopefully, this will result in you having a LD that night.
those are both watered down versions of much bigger and better tutorials you can find on the forum. I hope this helped
Nope its not. there are tons of techniques out there that dont require you realize you are falling asleep. Is realizing you are falling asleep necessary?
