where were you wandering? lol
i was wandering, do you have to keep a DJ forever. or once you can get lucids often can you not keep one, or does your ability fade?

When I first started LDing, almost a year ago, I kept one and updated it every night. After about 3 months, I stopped using it as much. Bang, there went my ability to LD. Bang, there went my recall. I started using it again 3 days ago, and last night I remembered 4 dreams, and woke up and updated my dream journal after each dream. It really helps. Plus, it's fun to look back at dreams that you would have otherwise forgotten about. Flipping through mine yesterday, I got the pleasant surprise when I read "...and that's why I was doing yoga with Elvis"
For all the trouble it can be updating it, it's worth it.

Yep, Dream Journals are a wonderful thing to have. Keep up with it =]
!
When I first heard about a DJ I thought I dont need it, because I never had any problems with dream recall. I still dont have any problems, but started a DJ 1 1/2 years ago.
I only write down interesting or very odd dreams though. It is great to read through it and remember the dreams you had.
They will never be lost again.
Definitely worth keeping to remember the little details. Just like you can go on an amazing vacation or trip, and forget the tiny details that made it so fantastic, you can forget most but the big picture of a dream, or even the dream altogether (and without being over to talk over and share memories of this 'vacation' with others it gets even more difficult) until you read about it and the entire thing comes flooding back.
Whenever I stop my DJ, my lucid count plummets. And I don't even use it for dream signs.
Keep journalling as long as you want to lucid dream.
By constantly ensuring you remember your dreams you are significantly increasing your awareness of dreams.
In my view, this level of concentration makes DILDS almost inevitable.

i also read in some magazine that keeping dream journal helps in many others things in life . Cant remember atm.So keep it up(i know i will )
start reading your dream journal before bed, let me know what happens
(i lost mine and have started again)
may afirm that you will become lucid when you stuble accross a familiar dream scape, i dunno, there are many differnt things to be explored
I don't really need a dream journal, I'm more a WILDer than a DILDer, but it's fun reading it. Just today I had a dream that I was Harry Potter and had to dance with his girlfriend in front of a big audience
*grabs DJ and writes it down*

I use notepad on my computer for a dream journal because my computer is directly next to my bed. But i also write them down.. Hold onto it.
