Thread: (HS) ?(HI)

Yeah hypnogogic sounds can be really trippy!!! It's just like auditory hallucinations. Alot of times I will either hear people like talking in another room (even though I am home alone) or I will hear like...the Martin Luther King speech in his own voice...really weird stuff like that haha. I wish I could tape record some of the stuff I hear. Sometimes though my mind kind of tricks me out of it because I will "hear" my mom come in my room and say my name, and I will wake up, but I am all alone. Yeah though HS should flow into a LD just the way HI does. Way to point it out Howetzer.

It is funny that you mention your experiances and opened up my ears.
It makes me realize how easily something can be overlooked. I was looking at it in the sense of hearing music or "trippy" sounds, not voices. *But I too have heard vioces quite often. Just shows where my train of thought was. And I know what you are talking about. I have heard somone saying something to whom I thought they were talking to me. I also have thought I have heard the phone ring and actually answered it. Then taking a minute to get my barings. A lot of the time these are times when I am expecting it to happen, a call or someone to bother me.

One time I was in between lucids when I realized my radio was blaring Dave Matthews music so loudly it was disturbing my lucid, so I make myself wake up to turn it off. When I woke up, my stereo wasn't on. Another time, this really creeped me out. I heard someone come into my room at like 4am...door open, heard them walk over to my bed...actually FELT them get into my bed and lay beside me. My sister was home from Chicago that weekend so for some reason I thought it was her but I didn't want to be disturbed so I just whispered "Schwester?" (which is German for sister and something that me and her say b/c we think it's a funny stupid word). And all I heard was "No." It scared me, I woke up and there was no one there. I swear to god it was a hallucination...it was no dream.

Yeah I hear random sounds like that too (voices, noises, radio) all sorts of things, but when I focus on them they just go away. (this has always happend right before I fall asleep)

Good catch man! I can remember HS for about as long as I have been around. I can remember hearing HS when I was a teenager, sometimes in different languages which I could understand on occasion!

I think many of us our so intent on the focus of the visions we have tend to over look other senses.
In fact. Tonight I think I am going to try and think of what differant feelings feel like. physical or emotional. Although they generally are not part of HI or HS your brian could manifest it into something I'm sure.

My HI or HS constantly change. Sometimes I get a lot of images streaming across my mind as they follow my train of thought, no sound with them. Sometimes I start hearing pieces of made-up conversations or friends of mine calling out my name and then asking me questions. If I'm trying to WILD, I generally get distracted by these voices and start answering questions or if their not adressing me, I start giving my opinion (which is quite funny, cuz most of these conversations make no sense at all). Sometimes I get both sound and images at the same time, this generally happens when I really get carried away by the voices and they start having faces that go to them.

I often hear loud noises like a door slamming shut or a clap of thunder. If the first one doesn't startle me awake, then I am on my way to a WILD. I like the noises for that, but sometimes it is really hard not to awaken fully because the sounds or voices can be scary - sounds like from a horror movie or people saying they want to kill me. I have to keep telling myself these noises are in my head, but in the back of my mind I'm thinking "what if they're not in my head, should I open my eyes and find out?"

I still remember the scariest HS I heard... it was a little girl's voice whispering in my ear, suddenly, in the dark: "Sneak up on you!" It scared the poop out of me!
After this, honestly, I've been afraid of WILD, because when I'm in that state, it's really hard to tell the sounds/images from reality.

Anyway, that same night (Sept. 14 2004 according to my dream journal) I dreamt that a dead woman was using me as a channel, and was standing next to me in the spirit world, and I was translating for a guy I'd just met in real life.
"Zac," she said. "I want you to know that regardless of everything that's happened, I still love you." Then she stepped out of the door into the swirling snow, looked over her shoulder, and said, "See ya around."
The door slammed and I awoke, terrified and feeling the slimy spiritual residue of a spirit posession. Scared shitless, even to the next day, I called Zac, the guy I'd just met and talked about lucid dreams with at the pub (turns out we're both avid lucid dreamers, strange for two white guys in semirural Taiwan.) I asked him if he'd ever met anyone named Ann, with dark auburn and grey hair, and he said, "Yeah... That's my mom."
I went on to tell him the things she said (she had spoken to me for like 10 minutes).

After that we've been best friends. Weird, eh?

Thats so creepy......Last night I hear a piano playing. The night before that it was my sis, my friend, a man, and a woman. I only heard parts of what they were saying, because I kept regaining too much consiousness. I thought at first that I was reading peoples minds or something ! Haha. It's amazing though. I think it is very natural for me to hear HS as I fall asleep. I get the sounds very naturally though. What I mean is that I can lie down for about five minutes and start hearing the sounds. I like it.

did anyone stop to think that maybe LD has something to do with the spirit realm? if it is all real, (i believe so far that it is). maybe those sounds are demons trying to torment us! who knows. and if some girl laid in my bed and said NO to me i would FLIP OUT MAN. how do u do it o god help us/.

I think that lucid dreaming could absolutely be connected to higher planes of existence, such as you would call the "spirit realm". Some of the things I have seen/experienced are very very strange. And yes having what I thought to be my sister lay down in bed next to me and then having no one there was VERY odd...it could have been a spirit. It could have been my imagination. No one can prove it really. All I know is that if they are spirits, they mean us no ill will. They are not trying to torment us at all...after all, it is US who are contacting THEM in theory if we choose to lucid dream....right? Maybe WE are tormenting them when we go around randomly killing things in our lucids. Maybe we should be more aware that the beings in our dreams may not just be made up in our imaginations. Alot to think about...no?

I still just think the things during hypnogogia are just that...hallucinations.

Maybe a mod would like to split this topic?

you just blew my incredibly stoned mind dude!! but who knows maybe everything is just in our minds like how when u are way paranoid that the government is using mind control on u. or that the tv has hidden cameras build into the tubes secretly sending transmissions to the underground computers at the pentagon. kinda like that you see, or maybe it is true....

Who told you about them cameras in the tv's!!... lol I would also flip out if I heard something like that. very freaky. The deamon theory made me want to stop LD there but I guess there just Halusinations.

Ok this is going To my head too much its weird I was playing piano a second ago and in a middle of a song I heard a Girl clearly say "No!" freaky she also had that english accent like that computer in "Resident Evil" the movie. Kinda weird.

were u high? i know being high after playing too much DOOM3 for pc has almost driven me insane. after i first beat that game i was hearing screams all the time. if a fan was on or even from the running water in the shower. i was freaked out. that game is way evil... i hope it didnt posess me somehow. i did however make a note of turning DOWN the volume when the haniball lecter satan guy is yelling out an incantation. believe me that shit is real and real scary. the fact that we have a box with pentagrams on it aswell as incantations being thrown at us is a little unsettleing. i just hope they didnt research that part of the game infull and use ACTUAL INCANTATIONS! weak

No I was Not High I dont use drugs ( im only 14 ) but it was just that one No! and than i went on with my not so normal life.
