This made me laugh...
Nothing weird, though. Just a low level lucidity which fades away easily.

I had a false awakening to my bedroom and everything was the same besides the fact that my light was on (It was most definitely off prior to going to bed) and a chandelier in the middle of my ceiling. I was talking about lucid dreaming all day and something compelled me without even thinking that I was dreaming because I realized I had just gone to bed. I announced "I am lucid dreaming?" and then held me nose to see if I could still breathe...and I COULDN'T??
I had no idea what happened and it ended shortly after and then I had another dream I remembered nothing from. It was so bizarre I definitely knew it was a dream but never seemed to confirm it because the reality check was telling me it was reality.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

Come on! What if Martin Luther King said: "I kinda have a dream... nah, I don't wanna talk about it."
I would say you gained slight lucidity.
That happens to me all the time.
Remember to RC more than once. RC's will try to trick you sometimes.

.
Similar thing happened to me last night. I realized I was dreaming because suddenly I could feel everything fading away like I was waking up, so I started rubbing my hands together. All I remember was that it felt incredibly realistic (my hands got hot, etc) but it was realistic enough that I thought I was awake. I thought rubbing my hands hadn't worked and I woke up. Turns out it was a false awakening and I lost my lucidity.
Damn.
