If you put so much stress to have an LD, you may become overstressed and not have an LD. You just need to calm down and except the fact that it may take you longer than others to have an LD.

Yeah you must calm down about it. Take your time and practise. Nothing comes for free. Take a tip: It maybe seems like it takes huge amount of time and that it seems that it never works for you. But if you give up you will realize in a moment maybe in 3 years, like i did, that all the time you didnt do anything, you could used practising and have many LD's. In 3 years you could as well induce Lucid Dreams at will if you just had given an effort. So every journey starts with a singel step. Take your time and make good routines while still at the beginning. Its worth it.
Try the Wake Back to Bed Method which is linked from my signature. Click on the link to take you to the tutorial.
I guess I didn't fully read your post, sorry.
It took me about two months to have my first lucid dream.Damn, I've been trying for weeks[/b]
Just relax. If you can keep yourself motivated you will eventually get it. It's a matter of time, really. If you want to give up, then by all means give up. It will not change you if you fail to have a lucid dream. On the other hand, having one might.![]()
Once you have your first, usually it will become a little bit easier to have your next.

your not gonna have any lucid dreams with that attitude for sure.
If you find RC/MILD to be a hastle then you probaby don't have enough will power to make it =( It took me 3 months to have limited success and I'm not having instant repeated success after that either. But I don't quit because that would probably undo my progress thus far.
Once you're more determined maybe you should try this MILD technique out, it helped me have my first LD:

hello, im starting the lucid dreaming too and i think its so hard to 'try hard' because its all in the mind. Its all about focus and control. i too get carried away with my dreams and am very gullible. it seems that a good nights sleep and a rested mind helps alot for dream recall but lucid dreaming hasnt happened yet to me. i want it to work so much though!

You need to start a dream journal. Write down everything you remeber WHEN you wake up. Go over a few times and make sure you get everything. Then just relax.
By doing nothing else but getting good dream recall you will have a lucid dream. Might not be as many as you want or as fast but it takes little work.
Faith. Determination and persistence, blachshampagne. It will come with time (even though time is an illusion).![]()
It's only beyond the gate that we realize what our dreams really are . . .

You can't give up now! I've known many people that tried for much longer than you before they finally had one.
If you walk away now, you will always wonder what could have been
We all believe in you!
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

I started about 6 months ago, and I was having the same attitude, so I let it go for a few months (actually lost interest). I started getting interested again last month and I have had 4 LD's. So maybe you do need a rest from it. But don't give it up all together!
Trying for 10 years before success would be worth it. Its the greatest thing in the world. Dont give up. Unless you dont ant to have a lcuid dream. And listen to thier advice. Its much closer to you than you realize.

Relax, dive into it, but dont' overstress. I myself have been JUST like that before where I got so frusturated I simply gave up. The rewards later on when I started to 'dream' again were extraordinary. Just keep going.

You might want to set your sites a bit lower to help keep a positive attitude.
First off you are remembering your dreams. That's good. Give yourself a gold star for that.
You're doing the RC's. That's good. Give yourself another gold star.
Grade yourself each day on the things you are doing well, and feel good about the progress you are making with the things you are doing well. By doing this you will remain positive, and eventually begin having lucid dreams, and not just one, but many.
I have the same problem of getting too involved in my dreams to realize that I am dreaming, so end up talking myself right out of lucid dreams most of the time even if I do become aware enough to question if I am dreaming.
But to remain positive and keep from getting discouraged I keep a dream exercise diary of the exercises I am working on. That way I can look at that diary and see the progress I have made even if it has been much longer than I would have liked since my last lucid dream.
