im scared

ok i have had about 5 lucid dreams in my life but i never new what they were till my brother was telling his girlfriend about it over the phone i overheard 9cough cough, lol) and i looked it up about 6 months ago. now i have only really started trying to LD in the past 2 weeks because i was scared of going into it. i no it sounds weird cuz i want to LD soooooo bad but at night time i think of all the scary stories like freedy kruger and all those scary urban legends and stuff and i think, what if that happens in my dream and it will seem sooooo real and it will be like i am really there, and it scares the life out of me. but i no if i just focus i can get the nightmares out of my dream. i LD'd 1nce (about 5 days ago) that i was like neo from the matrix and i was fighting some agent smith looking character but then i got scared and my nightmare "killed me" and i woke up.i want to LD to get rid of this nightmare because i am having trouble sleeping now.please help me, i just want to learn, maybe someone could give me some pointers?

You could try the WBTB method. Look in the tutorial section for how to do one or what it is. Its pretty easy to do. Also look into the MILD section to.

btw you should know that once you are lucid you are practically GOD. you can control everything and especially kill those nightmare guys. Just like blink them out of existence or shatter them, or burn them to hell...matter of a fact..just send them to hell. theres so much ass kicking you can do. anyway if you're scared of them then you probably should confront your fears.

Also you can induce LD's using nightmares. Just recognize your nightmares as dream signs and then there you go. Lucid.

I agree, lucid dreaming may help you out of this problem.
In a LD, you can wake yourself up, or even control the dream the way you want it to be, if you is lucid at a very high level.

Do you perform several reality checks during the day? If not, I recommend to check out this tutorital:

Reality checks may often do you lucid.
Once you are lucid in a dream, try to run away from the things you find scary.
If you not are able to run away, try to close or open your eyes. That may wake you up...

You may also try to have a audio book CD, who repeats itself the whole night. The likelihood that this will manipulate your dream to have more to do with the story in the book, is big, at least it works for me.

If you have a nightmare, try using that as a dreamsign. Now, if you get scared, try stopping time. Remain calm and just yell out "STOP!" or "FREEZE!" and cause everything around you to stop moving. If you can manage that, then just try leaving the situation and go to a more pleasant place. If it won't freeze, try conjuring an unbreachable barrier between you and what you fear.

I almost wish I had a nightmare to induce an LD....almost.
