      Just Can't Nap

Its been about 5 hours since I woke up and I went for a nap. I always get really comfortable, then really tired and get a lot of HI. But that is it. I can use WBTB at night but napping is just not working.

Why is this do you think?

I don't know exactly what to tell you, except that I've really never been able to nap, either. I think it's because I just can't quite relax enough. I keep thinking of all kinds of things I need to do or could be doing. The only time I can really nap is when I am absolutely exhausted, and then I'm usually too tired to try any LD stuff.

Have you done anything physically exerting ie. exercise? Consumed any mind stimulants ie. caffeine? Have you done something that required concentration?

Any of these things can stimulate your body or mind, making napping more difficult.

But I think that you may be still too wide awake after 5 hours, unless you've slept poorly.

On my computer all morning trying to script a game. That definitely required concentration. Plus I wanted to sleep quickly before my sisters came back. They shout all th time.

No... I slept fine. Maybe that made things worse too?

I think those are solid reasons why you couldn't nap.
