I never tired any of it, and I never will. I belive that technology and substance intake should not be sued in the quest for Lucid Dreaming. Lucid dreaming si the most amazing NATURAL ability of humans and we shoudltn go meddelgin aroudn with it using technology IMo

I partially agree with you. But I don't see any problem in aiding yourself to get to the lucid state. The lucid dream is still natural and is happening in your own mind, and it is still amazing. It's not like it's artificial because you used outside sound to attain lucidity. I don't however, think people should spend money on lucid dreaming when you can learn it naturally, it just seems stupid to me. But I don't see using recordings or software as a learning tool cheating or anything. Anyways, just my opinion.

I totally agree with you, there isn't a point in spending money on learning how if you can physically teach yourself for free. Also, I see you must live near me! I live in Kirkland.

I've tried on my own (reading books, internet etc..) to go lucid, but had quite a bit of difficulty in getting perspective on what to do when, how often etc... Also, after trying and trying with no luck, I didn't mind spending cash on software/audio aids. I'm sure that eventually it wouldn't have mattered if i'd done it on my own (teaching myself), but what the software/audio DID do, it gave me some order and perspective on how to achieve results. Personally, I've come further in a week using the stuff I bought, than I did in nearly two years on my own. I think what also helped me, after buying the stuff, I didn't want it to turn out to be a waste of money, so my motivation was also better to actually use it, and use it properly. I'm a firm believer in the placebo-effect and personal drive, and spending my hard-earned cash on something gives me the drive to get my money's worth; I think that also has a lot to do with it. So, in my opinion, if you're contemplating spending money on going lucid, and you have the cash to spare, then why not?! Give it a go, what's the worst that can happen? You lose your cash, but in hindsight, I've been scammed out of enough money in my life, that even $50 'wasted' on some software/audio isn't going to cause me to lose sleep over it. My opinion anyway, read into that what you will...

I guess that makes sense if you are really struggling. To me it seems like a waste of money, unless you really NEED help, and you do get results.

Anyways, what things have you bought and what results have you seen?

Yeah Im also curious about whats been used and what kind of results they yielded for some people.

I have to agree with Izinyo on this one. I don't have a problem paying for technology that is going to make my life easier. If there were a confirmed technology that could deliver multiple LDs per night, I don't see how anyone on this forum wouldn't be interested in buying.

I'll agree with that also. If there were a confirrmed technology that could deliver multiple LD's every night I think a lot of people including myself would not mind paying for it.

Although there are several sights that promise this, I have yet to find one that can actually deliver on that promise.

So I've pretty much given up on buying commercial CD's, and just make my own using Brainwave generator for binaual sounds, and Goldwave and Multisequence for mixing MP3 files and subliminal files to listen to, with just as good of success as I ever had listening to commercial cd's.

I think that people who are natural lucid dreamers may not realize how difficult lucid dreaming can be for the majority of the other people sometimes, who struggle to get just 1 lucid dream a month, and sometimes are unable to even manage that. I wish I were lucky enough to dream lucidly with no effort, but it requires a constant effort on my part, constantly working on being aware of what I am doing during the day, gently waking myself up at key times during the night with various sounds and blinking lights, when I expect to be dreaming. I think I've tried just about everything, and am still trying. But it is worth the effort, because once a person learns to dream lucidly, they can virtually control their own destiny. They can heal themself when needed, take a vacation anywhere they want in the universe any night they choose, and fly at the speed of sound. Where else could a person have so much fun than in a lucid dream ?

Like a broken needle, you're missing the point.

There are countless ways to find better software out there for free. If you want to get the easy way out go ahead, but don't forget there are always consequences...and in this particular case, they cost you some big $$$.

Nothing out there will produce miracle experiences. Nothing. Otherwise noone would bother to learn lucid dreaming.

The one advantage to having to constantly struggle to get a lucid dream or two, is that you won't take it for granted. I'm sure people who grew up lucid dreaming almost every night, and didn't even know it wasn't normal, don't enjoy the experience nearly as much as us who work hard for it. Some people with natural abilities don't realize how great and enjoyable they should be, they just take it as it is.

Slasher, I don't think I missed your point at all. You are saying that if you take the easy route, there could be consequences such as costing you big $$$.

MY point was that money is a small consequence/cost to pay for the promise of multiple LDs per night. I'm not going to learn how to fix my car anytime soon to save money, when I can pay a mechanic big $$$ to do it for me. (time is a benefit also)

However, I agree that there is no such technology (that i've heard of anyway) that has been confirmed to work. For me to be a buyer/believer, it would need to be confirmed by multiple people, like by people on this forum....then I would pay the big $$$.

Having now listened to the first part of the hemi-sync series I would have to say it borderlines NLP/Hypnosis. Ive always been partially against relaxation methods in this manner as you are simply boring the critical factor out of the way and late at night this mostly leads to sleep instead of the desired results. As I said I only listened to the first bit of it so I will give it a chance and see what unfolds.

Post what ever results, or lack of results you get.

I also tried a relaxation mp3 called "10 minute deep relaxation" or something that i found on the ares network.

Anyway, I tried to remain "conscious" throughout...I got to a stage of semi-paralysis, with a little hypnogogia.

I also tried it 5 hours after sleep by setting my alarm...i got a lot more vivid hypnogogia, but I am new at WILD or HI techniques, so I haven't been successful so far in pulling into an LD...i simply fell asleep after a period of trying...not sure if i have to stay "consious" longer, or if I'm simply not doing it correctly.

sign up and find the ld hypnosis tracks, duno how much they will help you, but worth a shot

yeah ive listened to them. Their effectiveness depends on how easily you go into a hypnotic trance. It's something that take some practice, so most likely the files won't have much effect unless you first learn to be hypnotized.
