Interesting. Never tried or heard of this.
Might try it. Parents wont appreciate the increase in electric bills tho, haha.
Howdy, this is my first post but I've occasionally browsed the forum for years. I apologize if the following idea is common knowledge, but Its been helpful for me so I figured Id post it. Some nights I sleep with a fairly bright light on, when I WBTB at 5 hours, I turn it off. For some reason doing this consistently gives me better success with wilds. Anyone else do this?

how do you fall asleep with a bright light on?![]()
We are each our own personal god. Never is this more apparent than in our dreams.
Interesting, I'm going to try this. I dont think I would be able to fall asleep with a bright light on, but do you think a dim night light would work well enough?
The light I use is one of those coiled energy saving lights, i got the yellow bulb that says its invisible to bugs cuz it is much dimmer than the average light. So its not very bright, i fall asleep easy. I think this method works because it makes me sleep deeper during the last few hours of sleep, even when I become lucid the dream reminds me of ones I have during the first part of the night, even though I know it is morning, the dream itself just feels really stable and deep, instead of speedy and fleeting like it often does in the morning when I am sleeping too lightly. So I think this method only works if you sleep too lightly in the morning and your dreams tend too be fleeting and hard to stabilize . I think many people have the opposite problem though and sleep too deep in the morning, so maybe a reverse of this method would work better in that case, instead try to turn the light on when you do wbtb?
