BaKo, I've never heard of that but it will be interesting to read your results!

Hey. I read somewhere that by screaming out in your dream "I will have a lucid dream every night", it may work and you may actually become lucid every night. I'm guessing this is because you are more connected to your subconscious in the dream state. Has anyone tried this and verified it to be true? I had an LD last night, and screamed that out with two others ones I made up (I will realize I am dreaming every night, and every dream I have will be lucid), so I'll post my results tonight tomorow![]()

Sounds like an auto-suggestion technique. It can be done in waking life too, but it might be more effective in dreams. Good luck with it![]()
Staying awake to chase a dream...
... I believe you made this up (or heard a rumor). If you "read it somewhere," and that source was reliable, then it would be verified already. Sorry, that was a nitpick. Here's a constructive suggestion:
I think that it would instill confidence. Also, does your subconscious really know what the word "lucid" is? I'd define the lucid state aloud in the dream before declaring your statement. Otherwise, your subconscious may misinterpret (or fail to interpret entirely) the lucid state.

Yeah I definitely could see how that would work. I'm not calling BS till I do it.![]()

TAKE THAT ABRA!
very cool BaKO
This is a great idea; sadly, it has never occurred to me to try and program my mind while I am actually in a lucid dream. I usually just go right to exploration or flying around.
It seems that if there is ever an ideal state for subconscious programming, though, it is while you are in a lucid dream state.
I will try this method tonight also, thanks for the idea!
I don't think it would be so reliable as to ensure you a lucid every night. But I think it would be a good autosuggestion technique![]()
ok, here are my results:
25th) I woke up and didn't remember a single dream =/ This was probably because I stayed up extremely late when I was already tired from soccer, and drank lots of alcohol and got a bit drunk. I woke up with a headache and didn't remember anything.
26th)I woke up remember some very very vivid dreams. The most prominent was one where I was on the ground and thought - hey, I may be dreaming, let me do a reality check. I pinched my nose, and I when I breathed I felt air going through my nostrils! However, I then looked around and it all seemed to real, so I decided that it wasn't really a dream and I just didnt pinch my nose enough... Surprisingly when I tried the RC again it didnt work. I guess you can consider this a half-lucid dream, which is pretty good considering my lucid (or half lucid) dreams are usually two-three weeks apart, not two days apart![]()
