I'm not sure. I listen to music every night and I never had a lucid dream before. I wonder if thats whats keeping me from it...

I think it would be better if you postulate why it would help. I have done my share of falling asleep with radio on, and yes it is possible to hear exactly what is being played on the radio while dreaming.

If you normally do not hear music in your dreams, you may exploit this as a reality check. It may depend on the music or audio too. If the music "brings you to life" it can make the dream involving, and you may be more aware, and likely to notice when something's wrong.

If you listen to R&B and it acts like a lullaby, then you may fall asleep in the dream too. I am not sure that would be such a good pick to listen to while sleeping. I go for "new rock".
