Hello, welcome to the board and congratulations on your first LD!![]()
Hi there,
Yesterday i found this site on google and read about lucid dreaming for a while. Then i entered the forums and gathered some valuable information. I decided to try to attain lucidity.
I went to bed and used MILD method then fell asleep. I wake up in the middle of the night and thought i wasnt succesful. I fell asleep again but i told myself that "I will be concious while dreaming" over and over.
While in a dream i heard the window in my room was opened. This always happens to me in my dreams and i always wake up to see if the window is really open. But this time i thought "I am in a dream so this sound comes from the dream!" and i became concious but i didnt get up. I said "I AM DREAMING!!!" I was in my room and i was dreaming. I got up in the dream and looked at the window. The window was open and someone entered from the window. I said "YES I AM DEFINITELY DREAMING!" Because i live on the second floor. And an old woman was entering to my room. I decided to explore the dream environment and i threw myself out of the window. I was floating in the air but i was in a different place. There was a dog there. I decided to enter the house again. I entered from the window. I searched the house and i realized it was my house but with different furniture... I explored the house for a while then i fell asleep again.
In the morning i clearly remembered everything in my lucid dream. But i didnt remember other dreams.

Well it was amazing to see how dreams could look real! Knowing that i was in a dream made me feel like learning about the matrix!![]()

I've noticed that sometime your senses are even more acute in a lucid dream.
Colors can seem brighter, sounds clearer, and don't forget touch!

I totally agree with you. The colors were brighter. I saw a grass field outside and the grass were shining. Sounds were clearer. Better than CD Quality.
Maybe that is because there are no organs to feel them. I mean if you talk on telephone you will hear with lesser quality. If you talk to someone next to you, you will hear clearer. And if you dont use your ears to hear something. You will hear clearer.
The senses are directly stimulated. And there is no distortion.

I suspect you are correct.

what's up Birm? nice avy.
Ignorant bliss is an oxymoron; but so is miserable truth.
I just experienced my first vivid lucid dream, too. I have been writing my dreams down for six years, and often I have 3 or 4 long, complex dream plots a night, but I very rarely have had lucidity.
I remember one time pinching myself to wake up from a nightmare, but nothing extravagant. The other night I woke up on a patch of grass and knew that I was in a dream. As soon as that realization hit me, it was like my spirit kind of snapped into my body like a rubberband (that's the best way I can describe it). All of the sudden I was very aware of my dream body and my hands and all of myself I could see. In dreams I am usually observing myself.
As was mentioned by someone else, colors were noticably intense. But there was this weird phenomena with light going on...everything was wavy like it was underwater.
I felt so excited to be lucid and I began to try and manipulate the environment. Unfortunately, another person showed up and pulled me back into the dream plot and out of lucidity.
That's my story. And since the people at this board are so cool, I feel I can now give a little plug for my new forum....www.dreamnexus.net
Check it out, help it grow!
seems like lots of people have had their first lucid dreams the last week or so...congrats birm 8)
