Look at your hands, really pay attention to the details on them. Also, you can try rubbing your hands together or dream spinning.
I've noticed that within my dreams I don't usually focus my sight on anything. I look at something but I'm looking PASSED it, I don't see the detail. I think this is one of the reasons why I don't get DILDs. In the DILDs that I have had awhile ago and one recent, I recognized that I accidentally focused on something and that is how my attention was brought to the fact that I was dreaming -not from doing an RC.
Not sure if it's possible but any ideas how I could possibly learn to be more focused on objects in my dream?
-I recall 4-5 dreams a night if that has any significance.

it's becoming lucid im having trouble with, not staying lucid
As always...to be whatever in the dream, you have to be in reality. To be more focused in your dream, be more focused in reality. You can use items you like or your hobby to train yourself to look for details...it's more enjoyable than to just pay attention to anything... It may even turn up as a cue/inner dreamsign that something isn't right.
