Problem with LDing
Every time I try any kind of LDing induction I end up in a state of sleep paralysis. I have experienced sleep paralysis at least once a week, ever since I was a kid. I think this is preventing me from lucid dreaming and sometimes it affects my sleep patterns. Anybody know why and how to stop it?

Why stop it? You can go into a WILD easily from sleep paralysis. Just let hypnagogic imagery fly by and passively observe it without getting to involved in it. It should become very realistic and become a dream very quickly. This is my understanding at least. Most people say that getting to sleep paralysis is the most difficult part of WILD.

The problem is that when this happens I can't move at all, and I can't do anything. I tried accepting it. I always know it's a dream but I can't do anything about it, so I just hold my breath until I awaken.

Go down and learn how to do WILDS. You can become an excellent lucid dreamer since you are able to be concious during sleep paralysis (I NEVER am)

I know how to WILD but it never works. I have tried everything. I was hoping someone had an unorthodox method of stopping it or maybe turning it into a LD.

stay with it for a couple of minutes, you'll see hypnagognic imagery and follow the wild technique from there
