Ok, lets start at the begining:
People wanr to go into SP (Sleep Paralisis) to go directley into a lucid dream, while a DILD brings lucidity in the middle of the dream. You need to keep concious to know you are in a dream, otherwise you just go to sleep and get a DILD at best. Usually, people describe being awake while in SP as being, well, paralized. Most people fell a "wave of heaviness" before they get into the dream. The also see HI (Hypnic Imagry [spelling problems..]), which most people describe as being random juxtoposes of colour. That's when you know you are about to go into a dream. This describes it well: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=42271
And, yes, naps are known for amazing dreams, especially LDs. That page I posted should help alot.
I hope this helps!
