Lol, I always get out the habbit, I'm going to start again, and try every five minutes. That's a good way of doing it I reckon, well done mate.![]()
Thes past four days I have been doing constant reality checks about every five minutes. I did this because I was desperate to ld and I had not had any luck. But now because of the constant reality checks I have had one to two lds a night. Reality checking is key to lucid dreaming. Every one of the 7 lds I have had in the last four days has been a DILD.

started doing reality checks eery 15 minutes about a month ago for a week and i had several lucid dreams in that week through dilds.
They are very effective some people but i lost motivation to keep doing reality checks because i can get them through a technique. But if you have no technique and they work for you which it sounds like they definitely do for you then they are certainly worth doing.![]()

Congrats man. I always forget to RC but I might try and get back into doing it. I'll let you know if I DILD any time soon![]()
I've thought of trying this method, but I always forget to do enough RC's during a day. Now I think I should concentrate on it more as it seems to work really well.
Very true. All lucid Dreams I have induced myself (no counting the countles spontanious LDs I had as a child) were DILDS caused by Reality Checks.

if you dont know why "reality check" is vital.. besides " it helps for wild dild mild ld ect. " then you have missed something really important..
RealityChecking, meditation, Q3 map making, cars, girls
Yep, it's one way to go for sure. I don't do them anymore, and just beleive my LD's will come, usually they do, but RC's certainly are a good way to begin your LD trials.

Yup, reality checking sure is helpful. People don't realize how much it is needed in WILD. Without a good RC, you could forget you have entered a dream, or lose your WILD to a false awakening!
If nothing else, reality check during any awakening.

Good little trick to take False awakenings and turn them from an Obstacle to Lucidity into a PATH to lucidity, like a safety line:
Make a habbit of it to Reality Check everytime you go to sleep and everytime you wake up.
Sometimes you'll wake up thinking:" Wow what an amazing Dream I just had" or " Bummer that I can't remember anything of what I just dreamt". That is THE moment to think to yourself: "Well who sais you aren't STILL dreaming right now?" and immediately do a Reality Check.
