      Reverse Blinking uncomfortable?

Well, I tried reverse blinking last night and after what seemed like a few minutes(probably less), I got really uncomfortable. I tried to continue, but after a while I had to stop and move, my body just felt weird, and I couldn't stay still...

I'm going to keep trying though... any comments on this, or what I can do to relax while reverse blinking and not get an uncomfortable feeling.

Sometimes, when I try to WILD, my body becomes very uncomfortable and I need to get up and move around. This is usually after a day of lots of exercise and activity. Has this happened in previous attempts to WILD? I think it's just your body telling you that it's extremely tired and tonight is just not the night to WILD, using the reverse blinking method.

I would assume that its your body testing your mind to see if its asleep or not, which can put you in a very uncomfortable state. I could be wrong though
You spend 1/3 of your life asleep, so why waste it?

      both ideas make sense.

I think I'm going to try to relax more before I attempt the technique, maybe I was too jumpy and not in a deep enough relaxation/meditative state.

I've found that RB works best and fastest when you're already in a calm state. I've also found that when I've still got a lot of energy, RBing doesn't work as well as it usually does.

I never had a successful lucid dream yet by reverse blinking but I too noticed that it was uncomfortable and caused eye strain.

Try doing the 61 point relaxation technique first or progressive relaxation. If you have tried the progressive relaxation and find yourself remaining in a beta wave focus(waking focus) try the 61 point relaxation technique right after it. You might not even need to use reverse blinking after that.

I would suggest liberty from the 61 points. Start where you may and slowly work your way through the landmarks of of your own spontaneous awareness. Or at least try it both ways.

I find RB uncomfortable. It doesn't work for me anyway. Maybe because it's uncomfortable.
