I've heard that it can interfere/react with your dreams, but I haven't never read anything on it increasing/decreasing the chances of lucidity, or recall.
Frankly, just from my experiences, it doesn't affect me at all.
Sup guys, i was wondering: Does TV before bed increase or decrease your chances of lucidity? OR recall? Thanks! <3

I think it doesn't effect lucidity that much either. I know if you watch Tv right before bed it does increase your chance of having whatever you were watching appear in your dreams.
Like the post above, it doesn't effect me much.
i dream often ... lucid rarely
i dont watch tv because (FOR ME) my dreams tend to be WAY more wacked out
however, interesting thought about tv
while watching tv <not ALL tv... just a general rule> your heartbeat decreases
below the rate where your resting
heres another article on TV watching and sleep
http://www.ynhh.org/healthlink/pediatrics/...rics_10_99.html
basically it says even if you watch only 2 hours of tv a day
it may affect your sleep.
test it yourself... dont watch any tv for a day... see if you sleep better, and any changes in dreams
ya but two hours a day is quite a lot of tv, what about just like 10 minutes before you start going to sleep?
98% of all teens have petted a cat, If you like your waffles fried on the grill put this in your sig.
yeh thats what i usually do. 30 min before sleep. Couldnt you just watch tv, and sense you guys says it often appears in dreams, be like " when i see __________ i will do an rc". Maybe some one should try it. We can call it a TILD!. ( Television induced LUcid dream! )

Isn't there already something called TILD. hmm, Maybe not though, good idea combining television, which effects your dreams, with MILD!!! That could totally work![]()
TV doesn't do anything.
I have slept with my TV on for the last 15 or so years. Occasionally (once a month or so), I can recall picking up TV sounds (Sportscenter here in the US) and having it be incorporated into my dream - just usually another character mouthing the same words.
