try a relaxation technique such as the 61 point. it stops my involuntary twitches.![]()
ok, when i try to wild, something strange always seems to happen. i will be laying in bed and counting for awhile, and then my body seems to move/jump on its own. when this happens, it tends to mess up the whole thing and i have to start over.
the thing is, i am NOT intentionaly moving my body. how can i stop it, so it dosen't distract/stop the technique from working? i ALMOST succeeded once, because my body decided to stay still. any ideas on what i can do?

don't think it has anything to do with relaxing, it might be because i am not tired enough. i don't seem to get tired for awhile after going to bed, maybe thats part of it.
ive had those before. I cant be much help with you though sorryive only learned to relax more to get rid of them

The 61 point relaxation technique puts the body into a near sleeping state.

i think i will try tonight, after i am more tired. i usually try RIGHT after i go to bed. i know i will get it soon enough, just need the right time i think.
i cant seemto make any relaxation technique work for me...especially 61-point. how can i relax all those different points? it doesnt seem to make any sense while im doing it.
Usually the floating sensation is caused by your thought process during the Wild attempt try clearing your mind and as everyone else mentioned try relaxing more.
its not a floating sensation, its that my arms/legs seem to twich/jump while i am laying there counting.
ive read that exercising and sleeping posture can fix this problem. i highly reccomend a DVD series at www.saltcube.com its a dvd on WILDing and has some seriously awesome information about all the nuances of WILDing. i suggest you check it out, its pretty cheap.
Oh Sorry about that. I know exactly what you are talking about. It's called Hypnic Jerk. Take a look at it, it's pretty common also but you are right that could distract the WILD process. But it's cool as well because you are right at the Onset of WILD when you are consciously aware of Hypnic jerk without drowsiness.
It's hard to memorise all 61 points, but I guess that's because iv'e never given it a proper go

WOAH, i was almost there in that case. i wasn't tired AT ALL, so i could have made it if i knew what it was. it only happened once, and then i woke up. after it happened i was WIDE awke, it was realy weird. couldn't go back to sleep for a bit after that.
the whole thing happened when i got to 225. i also had hi/hs at the same time, it was freaky/cool at the same time. now that i know what it is, i know i can succeed easily. i might just be a natural at wild, it seems easy for me, and staying awke is NO challenge for me. i just count to distract my mind, and it is easy from there.
i get so focused on counting, that i remember every number and do not even notice the whole thing. if the hi is any indication of what i was going to dream about, it would have been a zombie/monster type dream. i was getting almost ghostly/monster like hands, that were 3D shadows in my vision that kept repeating over and over.
i am ready for whatever my mind trys to throw at me this time. there is only one way i could be fooled by my mind, and i am ready for it. i will try tonight and see if i can make it this time. now that i have everything i need, i am TOTALLY ready for anything.

At each point, try to visualize a blue dot and the corresponding number. I read on a yoga web site that the blue dot focuses the right hemisphere of the cerebrum and the number focuses the left. This makes sense since the right hemisphere controls creativity and the left hemisphere controls logical thought.
It's actually much easier than it looks. I think it took me about five or ten minutes to memorize the first 31 points and about five or ten for the remaining points.
Hey, everyone.
I get those jumps/twitches too. I'll be lying there relaxing, thinking and all of a sudden my leg jerks, or my side does something etc. I dont know what causes it but it messes up my wild. I guess ill just have to relax harder and not let it bother me.

Guys, these muscle spasms and twitches are very common occurrences during WILD. Normally you don't experience them because you are, obviously, unconscious when they happen. But since you're keeping consciousness while you fall asleep (WILD) you will experience a number of things that you normally go through while asleep/falling asleep and unconscious - they just take getting used to. I recommend stretching out all your muscles before beginning a WILD so any twitches and spasms won't be too intense. Relaxation is a must, find any techniques for you to relax mentally and physically.

Now here is Nowhere
I woke up this morning and got into bed. Went up to the roof and swam down the chimney to the mall. They had a special on meat so I poured some into a glass and watered the milkman. Then I drew myself home and found the fish had ate the cat the cat had ate the dog and the dog had been eaten by the mailman. Then I got out of bed and went back to sleep.

I have these types of things happen SO often, even though i have never tried WILDing.
What I have noticed though is that I am entering the dream and I can see/feel the things in the dream happening but all of a sudden something in the dream will happen (and move something of me in the dream) and the same part will move in real life, thus waking me up.
