      What time do we enter REM? please help :)

      hey i just wanted to know this because im going to wake up during REM tonight while dreaming but im not sure when to

      so basicly what time do i set my alarm?

      since we all go to sleep at diff times just say how many hours into sleep we get REM

      Haha, it'd be great if it really was at 4am every morning for everybody. Unfortunately, it varies.

      Although it varies, the general rule is that a full sleep cycle (both NREM and REM) lasts 90 minutes. So, set your alarm clock at 90 minute intervals.

      If you keep a strict sleep schedule (go to bed and wake up the same time every day, including weekends), then you *can*, over time, predict exactly when you'll be dreaming.
