Why do I ALWAYS wake after a dream cycle??
Ever since I joined this site and have had lucid dreaming on my mind I havn't been sleeping well. I wake up after every dream I have, they are never lucid or not even as vivid as they used to be. I do write them down but its getting to the point that I just want to sleep. I'll literally wake up 4-5 times after each dream, my recall is getting better but I'm having no luck with lucids! I WILDed once last week but havn't been able to since, I also had three lucids in a row last week but nothing since.... any suggestions????
Thanks

well, actually i think i heard somewhere, that you do wake up after every REM period or something, but its for a really small, unnoticable time, but i know thats not what your talking about anyway.
why not use it to your advantage, use DEILD. here is a tutorial:

Everyone wakes up for a second or two after each dream cycle, you're just noticing and remembering it now. Instead of writing down your dreams every time you wake up, just go back to sleep and write them down when you really wake up.

God
When I was new really new to LD I kept waking up after almost every dream, but then it just stopped and I am thankfull for that...
Now I just wake up after my LD's, not my normal dreams.
When I say wake up, I mean that I am aware that I am waking up. I know that after every dream cycle you wake up for a short ammount of time without really being able to remember it or fully knowing it.

interesting, I didn't know you woke up after every dream. I guess I am being very aware of it now and it should die down, I am thankful that I am recalling every dream.... they have been very action packed and crazy but no lucids.....
