tho everyone is different, the sweet-spot for me is 30 minutes to 45 minutes. i am a heavy sleeper, and usually fall off too quickly otherwise. it helps for me to turn on the lights, use the bathroom, and eat some cereal. good luck!
Hey everyone
I have been having some problems wilding
when I wake up five hoursbafter falling asleep I am already so tired that I just doze off again
That being said how long should I stay awake before attempting to wild?

Thanks to all for sharing your knowledge, experience and even your inquiries regarding LDs!!!
WILDs: 10
DILDs: 3
Try putting a lamp near your bed so the second you wake up you can turn it on. It'll really help with getting the motivation to get up and go to the restroom or eat/drink. Also try writing down your dreams in this time too.
WILDs - 38
MILD/DILDs - 44
VILDs - 8
TILDs - 1 (Thirst Induced Lucid Dream, never going through that experience again...)
Total: 98 - So close to the big 100
Depends on if your closer to a complete insomniac or narcoleptic. anywhere from 5 min to 30 min I'd recommend, judging on how long it takes you to get to sleep at night.
Also change beds, it will make your mind have to get accustumed to a new position, thus taking longer for it to go to sleep.
Currently training to master WILD.
LDs: 300+ probably
When you wake up, get up and do something immediately, like the others said.
Roll out of bed, stand there and don't lay back down again until you do a couple of reality checks, at least.
thanks alot guys for the help ill try it tonight
